I think both those marks are respectable for early May considering she's a 200m specialist.

Except for the Ethiopian win and the women's 1500m,
the times were very disappointing. 3:31 and 1:43.7x
in the 800m are very slow. I suspect the blood pass
is working wonders now.
how shocking people weren't in peak form for a meet 3 months prior to their peak event.
Don't forget that Felix is also one of the best 400 runners in the world.
note that all the Kenyans failed at the Olympics last year.
Surprisingly many Kenyans peak (too) early. Also compare
with the times in Doha 2012.

You forget how incredibly fast Doha times have been in the past at this very same point in the year.

Felix-Montsho close to the wire as usual:
http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=4No0E1aTCQc49.88WL for Montsho. Felix didn't look that great a week ago in Jamaica, but no sign of that today.
She is much better at the 400m than the 100m imo. She looked to be taking the last 100 kinda easy, more like she was jut trying to keep form instead of trying to win. Either way, I'm glad she opened up in 50.1x like I predicted, now hopefully she will run the 400 at world and go sub 49
Don't mistake keeping good form for not giving an all out attempt. Allyson just happens to make her races look very graceful.
I highly doubt she'd go the road of running the WC 400 again, as you can see the effect it had on her 200m speed back in 2011.
But 50.19 is an excellent time for her considering that she's been training for the 100 and 200 this winter.
my god, drug cheating at a all time high.....post Lance and olympics nothing changes!
She's been down the 400 path before, and that's why she won't do it at Moscow. If she runs the 400-200, she can win 2 medals, but neither of them will be gold--she learned that 2 years ago. She will take the path of no medal in the 100 + gold in the 200, although she would like to win a medal in the 100 (going to be difficult with her start).
