For God's sakes!! Can't somebody like a freaking shoe!! If you
Can somebody like a freaking shoe!!! Spiras are great shoes, but I guess the most logical assumption is that this is a great conspiracy from the governemtn to hide the fact that Spira's use alien technology and that "everyone" is in! I bet you haters belive that they are just pretending to have lottery and it is just a farce to get a dollar from you occasionally when you go into a convenience store.
Like many of you, I was skeptical. I had been having trouble keeping a boener; you fellas know what I'm talking about. But the spring inside the Spiras was all I needed. It acted as a splint of sorts, and gave me that extra "support" I needed. Now my wife is happier that I can bang her at least once a week with my new reenforced welner. No post-nuptial shut-off here guys!!
Thank you Spira!!

I started using Spiras after my PR marathon at Boston in 2011.
I knew there was no way I could beat that time unless I had another massive tailwind like there was that day. Thats when I discovered Spiras. A bunch of postitive posts, by REAL runners such as myself convinced me they were my ticket to setting the world record. I prayed to God about it and he okayed it in my heart to ditch my Asics for the Spiras. Well unfortunatley, they left me injured. I had to drop out of the 2012 oly marathon and haven't been the same ever since. Damn you spira!
For EVERYONE who doubts Spira and its running authenticity and technology benefits. Please click the link above that will showcase some of its race winners
Spira is a fun brand, Latin for Spring and has real technology for the running community. " Lets Run " in Spiras and then come back to this message board.
It is a clear difference and the link above with the race winners proves how a David can take on Goliaths and win all of these races.
Once while working at a running store, a dissatisfied customer brought a pair of spiras in for our shoes for Africa box. We didn't sell that shoe, and we certainly couldn't ship that crap to Africa, so we spent a part of the afternoon dissecting the springs out of them. Seriously heavy springs in a terribly made shoe. Fun to bounce them around on the street though...

This is fantastic. I'm dying
I am shocked that a relatively small web site would not want to support a small running shoe company whose tech story is sound and their passion so strong. I have worked for thirty years selling for one of he big four tech brands.I know footwear. All this company lacks is a small bit of polish. That comes with better relationships with the factories and increased sales. The shoes fit and feel great. I do not understand how you could not get your head out of the sand to see a great entrepreneur with a perhaps better mousetrap. At least hush up and give him a chance.
Spira provides me my daily dose of fellatio and is a great running shoe to boot.
This post is by a private runner
Well thank you for writing that. According to internet law you can't lie about that sort of thing.
I fully support Spira. They are better than EPO and slightly less illegal.
I've been selling these shoes for years. I have one problem with them - they last too long! I sell the walkers to postal workers who typically come back after 1 1/2 - 2 years with the springs showing through! And they are wearing them to pound the pavement 5 days a week minimum. Everyone who comes back to replace them says the same thing - It's the only shoe they can wear that feels like new until they're totally worn out. Total comfort that lasts, not many companies can lay claim to that.

As a Board-Certified Pedorthist (foot and footwear expert) I have fit many runners to Spira's shoes, and let me just say the feedback has always been positive. The colors are vibrant, which promotes positive energy and happiness (essential for a successful run). The weight is light, which lends to an increase in speed and improvement in performance, not to mention the return of valuable energy they bring to the muscles. The springs act as a shock absorber for both reducing ground reaction force at heel impact, and for offering enhanced toe-off. Long story short, these shoes are fantastic! The design is sound and well thought out, and this is because the one who designed them is an avid and experienced runner. Now don't get me wrong, not every running shoe is ideal for every foot; however, this is surely one of the best!

^This.
There are just too many anonymous juveniles here. I've worn the Spira Stinger. As a forefoot striker, I liked the shoes a lot. I could really feel a difference with the first pair I owned. They felt springy and were great for track workouts. The fit was great. They felt fast. The second pair of Spira Stingers wore out really fast... no idea why. The outsole completely wore through on the forefoot beneath the springs. It was disappointing for a pricey shoe. I looked around for discounts and couldn't find any so moved to another brand wit a lower heel. Perhaps I just got a bad pair.
If you haven't tried the Spira shoes, then maybe you should so you have personal experience with which to comment. I have been wearing the Stinger 2s recently for some faster training sessions. They feel fast and I run fast. I am 55 years old and haven't raced since a 1:33 half marathon in December. I ran 5 x half mile (with a 1/4 mile jog recovery at 8:30 pace) in 3:00, 3:00, 2:58, 2:56 & 2:52 last week. I ran under control and the shoes are responsive. Try them, you'll like them!
That was funny!
"I know a national-class runner that has run some of his best races in Spiras. I asked him why he likes them. His response was essentially that he gets them for free, and otherwise would run in something else."
So your theory is that it's more important to save a hundred bucks than to run one's best time?
BTW, which shoe company do you work for?
" I swear ever single response has come from no more than 2-3 individuals."
I came here looking for reviews of Spira shoes. Since I can't see any noticeable similarity in all the answers that you seem to see, how about pointing out exactly what it is that makes you think all these responses came from only a couple of individuals. I'm guessing that you're simply spouting off because you use a different brand of shoe...
I know this may be an older thread, but it's definitely worth bumping. I've been injured for years, and most recently with terrible achilles problems (NEVER had a problem until tried that stupid vaporflys). Anyway, i genuinely thought my running career was over UNTIL my doctor (a 6 time ironman) recommended these shoes. At first i thought he was insane (spring loaded shoes? Hello James Bond!), but after my very first run i knew i was healed. You literally have NOTHING to lose by trying these (other than minutes off your PR lol).
