True didn't just run during the winter, he was mixing it up with even better runners during that time frame. Still a very solid performance from him

doesn't anyone on this thread actually read what other people write before shooting them down? Talent Measurer wasn't saying True didn't run at all THIS winter. He's saying that, as a competitive skier at Dartmouth, he effectively didn't have a winter running season while in college. This was well documented in the LRC writeup the brojos did during CX World Champs.

B list until this year. With a 6th at World XC, he has done more there than any American male for many years, particularly if you factor in the dropping of the short course race.

Everyone keeps bringing up World XC, I hate to break it to you..but it is obvious that all the races were weak and lacking depth this year. Not to mention a bunch of the top africans collided and fell some didn't even finish. The course was a mess(Its XC I know) which just shows that certain runners may have an advantage in that.

True is getting very good. Unbeatable? Not at all. Also Derrick has routingly ran a lot better on the track so forget about that debate (He also ran 13:11 indoors..)

I do think True will be better than Teg/Ritz in the 10k, he stated in his interview post race that would be his focus at the trials.

If Hill does not run under 13:20, True is on the team, which already makes your first assertion false. However, what's interesting is how many guys in that 5 at Payton Jordan ran fast and none seems to have run any better since then (or at least almost none).
