No offense, but I've spent a lot of time following the news this week and other than a crack pot on either side posting on the Internet, I haven't seen anything in the mainstream media to indicate that there was "hope it was a white tax protester." Throughout the week CNN's experts have hinted towards a Muslim extremist. And according to this site, CNN is the ultimate left-leaning, Muslim-loving news source.
But instead let's turn this into a left vs. right issue...
Apparently you haven't been reading lets run then. I'll give you a quick rehash:
http://www.letsrun.com/forum/flat_read.php?thread=5136950http://www.letsrun.com/forum/flat_read.php?thread=5136662&page=2I even posted this on the first thread above in response to another poster, who i respect:
"It is hard to pinpoint exactly why or when America lost its soul and became so brutish, unthinking and deaf to others. So uncharitable. It certainly isn’t how we reacted in the aftermath of 9/11.
Was it spawned by the blind hatred in some of former President George W. Bush? Is it because of the blind hatred in others today of Mr. Obama? Or is there just so much regret on both sides that the unity after 9/11 birthed two unpopular wars and turned the federal government into an even more unpopular security leviathan?
Whatever it is, it is corroding the soul of America and our soul must be cleansed of it before we will ever be great again."
http://www.washingtontimes.com/news/2013/apr/16/hurt-pox-both-sides-perpetual-rush-politics/?page=all#pagebreakSo conservative commentators use the word tyrant (though I've never heard it)? What about this clown? Is this constructive?
http://www.salon.com/2013/04/16/lets_hope_the_boston_marathon_bomber_is_a_white_american/The Washington Times article is right, even if you don't like the source. There is a rush to judgement on both sides, and it just leads to further polarization and divisiveness, not constructive dialogue."
And let's not forget these infamous words of a frequent liberal poster who shall go unnamed but wrote the following on a different thread: "April 19 was the end date of Waco. So, April 19 was also the date of Oklahoma City, which was chosen to commemorate Waco. Pretty close to tax day." Great deductive reasoning by someone who should know better. Sounds like hopelessly biased optimism for some ammunition.
Dude, where have you been?
