Two thoughts.
1) If I was an AD, I'd fire a coach on the spot for that picture alone.
2) Why is that pic on squire's blog?

If I was recruiting against Toledo for any athlete, I would make sure that the parents of every recruit saw this picture.
The argument that this picture was 8 years old is a horrible defense. He brags about his last 15 years at Toledo, so this is right in the middle of his coaching tenure. Great leadership.
Kertesz spinned it, deleted over 700 texts to make it seem like Hadsell was randomly saying he was into her etc. At one point in the text messages she texts "Hi" late at night. Was there a reason for that? Seems to me she craved the attention.
She is also in a relationship with a Hanson's runner and didn't want him to know she was unfaithful at the time they started dating.
She also didn't want to look stupid for getting kicked off the team as well as the team already hating her for originally trying to go professional back in December. She cares deeply about the team but she decides to quit. This just doesn't make sense.
The Deadspin Article claims that Hadsell made Emma delete texts. This is also not accurate because how would Hadsell know if she "actually" deleted the texts. If I were in her shoes and supposedly getting harassed then I would keep every shred of evidence possible. She's getting wrapped up in her own bullshit.
Wouldn't there be more "harassing" texts in November and December leading up to her quitting initially? Kertesz's story is false. The only thing valid in that entire Deadspin article is that there were inappropriate conversations going on with a student athlete. That's all.
KMB is basically the only guy here and the people on the team that know the truth and are posting accurate information. Anyone outside of that is getting wrapped up in the Deadspin article.
Lighten up. There is enough material against him. You don't need to get puritanical - he's not running for Pope.LOL @ the pic

What a weak mentality. I would never run for you if you tried to win me over by dirtying the other coach's name. And what exactly does that picture have to do with leadership? It's a shirt.
Kevin Hadsell called and talked with K. Hanson (more than once) asking him to talk Emma into staying in Toledo. I know this to be a fact and I don't even know Emma.
Kevin Hanson called Hadsell. More than once. Hadsell even had sent Hansons an inbox after first call saying that he supports her leAving. Kevin didn't want her. That's what really happened. Stoo listening to Emma, Cole.
Cole? LOL.
Regardless, I feel bad for Hansons.
Why is anyone sticking up for this dirt bag of a coach?
He had a relationship with an athlete.
This is completely against the university conduct code.
Was the girl Emma innocent in all of this? No. But who cares? He crossed the line that many a coach has been tempted to step over. Very weak man
Do you like my shirt? wrote:

Are you talking about Brianna Shook? Yes, everyone knows they were together after she graduated. Wasn't a secret around town at all. When did they get together? I don't know. Has he had a relationship with someone who was currently his athlete since then? Undetermined. The Deadhead guy sure did his best to get someone to say that he has....but apprently could not because his whole article is a bunch of unrelated if damning shit (drunk driving, "muffin tops" and so on) and focuses almost 100 per cent on Emma's accusations.
So to review for the f*ck tards.
He resigned because he violated U. policy. The texts he was sending alone.....over the top and grounds for dismissal.
Sex harassment? No. Relationship with a student? No, if that did happen it is not confirmed.
That people freak out over that stupid shirt picture says it all. What a bunch of losers.
Not true and 100% wrong spin. Hadsell called Hanson and asked if he was going to take her. Hanson said not until she has finished her elgibility. Hadsell said "thanks for the support, we need her". Hadsell then called back and said that he didn't want to stand in her way (probably after talking to HR). Hanson said that he still didn't want her until June.
Shortly after the resignation/firing took place and Hanson gave the okay to Emma.
That is the order of things. Now do your best to spin that into the fabricated denials.
So you are saying no relationship took place before Brianna Shook graduated? Get a clue you are loser and sticking up for a bigger loser.
This is complete and utter bullshit that is about irrelevant relationship junk. Fact 1: He had impermissible relationship with students, with some indication of multiple events and staff as well as students, but the hard fact is enough itselfFact 2: He acknowledges drinking at practices and drinking and driving students and staff, presumably in school vehicles. It is unclear exactly how much he said that he drank before some of those driving incidents but it is incidents plural, and it is drinks, plural.Fact 3: He acknowledges drinking with students, including underage students. While he said that he did not know that they were underage, he had the information in the students file so he merely declined to determine if this was an issue. It is not like he is some third party that would have no real way of knowing. In addition, he could have asked to see the person's ID, which probably would have avoided this problem, and he did not.I think that I can say that I 'know' these facts, as he has essentially allocuted to them. So, do not go spouting off about knowing the (relevant) truth. We have no way of knowing that what you are saying is correct for that you stand by in any meaningful way -- one major disadvantage of the board, and not wholly your doing, but contrasts with the way Track and Field News has arranged things and how the related thread has developed.By the way, we also know that someone turned him in and that the AD believed them and then discussed some particulars. Finally, is a coach of collegiate women really having pictures like the one on J Squire's blog representing them and think that it does not signal a major problem is likely?[Allocute generally means to formally declare something. .... In the legal context, itrefers to stating specifically and in detail one's actions and motices, often in relation to commission of a crime.http://definitions.uslegal.com/a/allocute/] Now, why don't you address those and only those issues. Every time there is a statement about this other stuff it is merely a
I'm not sure just what rhetorical game you're trying to play here. You give specific examples of things that Deadspin reported that the two student-athletes quoted in the Blade article say they never witnessed or heard about, and then you ask me to point out specific examples of things that Deadspin reported that the two student-athletes quoted in the Blade article say they never witnessed or heard about. It seems that you're taking the Blade article beyond its scope and commingling its contents with things you have read in various other places.
But I'm not sure why you're even interested in that stuff, since according to you,
Kevin quit because of the various unrestrained (to put it mildly) texts he sent in which he openly expressed being sexually attracted to one or more women he was coaching or had coached. Had he not quit the university would have sacked him. He agrees this is an appropriate outcome, as do I, you, and everyone I've seen respond in these threads. He's gone. So if everything else is "just details," why are you so intent on unraveling them?

Maybe they'll release some more stuff, but if not, how does he not ask about sexual stuff with current athletes.
I'm pretty sure someone started a thread days ago with the subject line "Toledo affiliate to air first of six-part interview with Kevin Hadsell tonight." One of your faithful minions transcribed the contents of the first four of these interviews (sturdy work!) yesterday, with these transcripts now linked from the thread and the LR front page. By my math, that would leave two interviews unaccounted for, thus possibly explaining the disheartening lack of direct confrontation of Hadsell by WNWO's Will Kunkel.
Well, just like magic, there are now two brand-new interviews posted on the WNWO Web site.

Are two people posting as "former HB runner"? Because these two posts contradict each other.

From one douchebag to another.
I'm still scratching my head over why I had never heard of Intercourse, PA
So when deadspin said, "By all accounts, Kevin Hadsell is an excellent coach—a high-energy guy committed to his program and the success of his runners," - that's false as well?
It's amazing everyone thinks this is either deadspin is right or wrong. I'm just using that argument to make a point as you clearly are a pro-Hadsell guy.
The way I see it deadspin was right on a lot of stuff - enough stuff that Hadsell admitted he shouldn't be coaching.
Stop acting like deadspin was all from one source. Even if she wanted contact form Hadsell, that doesn't mean his behavior wasn't awful and what about the 5 sources they spoke to .
Here is where Deadspin was right.
1) The head coach of a D1 school was drinking at practice and driving a van after drinking. Hadsell claims he wasn't drunk - of course he does.
Read this again.
That allegation has nothing to do with the women who told all to deadspin.
2) The head coach of a d1 team had at least one relationship with a student-athlete that he coached and allegedly more. This wasn't known b4 deadspin. I have no problem with him falling for an athlete and actually getting married like manyhave before. This guys subsequent texts show that wasn't the case.
The "Caitlin" allegations haven't been proven to be false either- they have just been denied by hadsell - of course they are.
3) The head coach of D1 team said he'd like to bang others than the one he admittedly did bang- whether they also wanted to bang him is irrelevant.
I ask you a simple question.
What part of deadspin is false?
The only things I think even the pro-hadsell people say are false are
1) He wasn't drunk while driving (impossible to prove so of course they'll say this). Again, read the allegation above - it came from a male source, not the woman you are saying that flirted with Hadsell.
2) Sexual harassment - he may have preyed on his runners sexually by they flirted with him first. As if this is an excuse?
3) Stalking the one who turned him in/telling girls they are fat, etc.
As a coach, I dont think what he did on that front was really bad or out of the norm. I don't believe Hadsell's video 100% interview but don't believe his texts telling her not to run are bad.
Ok, fine, I'll give you that one.
Big deal.
This guys shirt at age 35 sums it up perfectly:
