In NYC King Bloomberg wants to ban the candy too!!!

Nothing gets a thread going here like mentioning steroids.
Seems a bigger deal then, well, beating up a girlfriend with a cricket bat and shooting her through a bathroom door four times.
I saw the steroids as just icing on a very, very big cake, but that's just how I roll...

Oscar does find himself in a bit of a sticky wicket.
Why would roid rage be a possible defense? If someone gets high on crack and kills their girlfriend can they say, "It wasn't my fault. I was high on crack."? If steroids were a contributor, the roid rage is still a side effect of a substance he wasn't supposed to be taking. That sounds more like an admission than a defense.
I agree, Ozzie!

Unfortunately drug use is used as a defense, at least part of a defense. You might still be found guilty but if you were under the influence you might get a lighter sentence.
There have been cases where people got off without much more than a slap on the wrist because of claiming 'drugs made me do it'.

He should have sent in a night-watchman.

Well played, sir!
please name the cases?
or just name one case of a shooting murder where the successful defense was "drugs made me do it"

I totally agree with you in that I would want someone who can't control their emotions when they are high locked up longer than someone who plots to kill someone. However, I also see how it is more evil to plot to kill someone than to kill someone in a drunk/high moment of passion. I guess it comes down to the purpose of a prison sentence which seems to be punishment and not public safety.

Driving under the influence of alcohol and paranoia is pretty open and shut case. But actually killing people under the influence of paranoia and roid rage, why that's a case for a slap on the wrist.

Now if he'd only been found with a stockpile of Twinkies, then he'd have a shot at getting off.
Will they strip South Africa's 4x400 Silver from 2011?

Or at least called for a runner.

Yeah, its ridiculous. In Russia if you are on drugs they count that as a crime on top of the other one you were doing
Of course they found steroids in his home. He was in the Olympics. Duh!!!
Pistorius made a bunch of phone calls after he killed her. Maybe they quickly plotted an excuse and his dad or agent got the steroids for him.
