Here in Mass, we have the mile and 2 mile. The only time I've even heard of a 1600 or 3200 is on letsrun. Conspiracy?

Ryan Hall once split a 1600 in 3:58.76 while running a 2:07:15 marathon on the track. He had gotten lapped and ended up coming back to win, with the 3:58.76 being part of what helped him catch back up.
