Exactly. Males ARE different from females ... no matter what the feminists at your college are trying to convince you of. This boy was most likely not damaged in the least but I'm willing to let the justice system figure that out.

Often (99%) these relationships are mutually agreeable since a 17 yo apparently cannot/are not mature enough to consent to what they wish do with their own body, but can drive a 1700lb vehicle.

America is supoosed to be a country of freedom, why are we setting boundaries on something like love... People are different, some like huge age differences, why should they be discriminated against, where's the equality? This case is ridiculous... I think the age of consent should be 14 years old for all states, in a lot of places around the world, once you're 14 you're considered an adult and I think consensual sexual acts are understandable at that age... If an 18 year old and 14 years old want to have a relationship then why not? Statutory rape, are you serious? Who even came up w/ the idea of putting rape in there? If anything it should be called illegal sex... I haven't been through it, but I feel it's one of those things where it's really hard to understand it unless you've been through it (and you're talking to a guy who's conservative and doesn't agree w/ same-sex marriage or abortion), but this is love we are talking about here guys...

Females of all ages have a hard time coming forward and reporting crimes when they are sexually abused. With the attitudes displayed on this Board, I can only imagine how hard it is for a male to come forward and report any type of sexual abuse.

Suppose this young man was conflicted about the sexual contact, and didn't want to participate? Could you imagine how you would feel when others are telling you what a lucky guy you are? Sad.

If this was a 44 year old male coach having sex with a 17 year old boy, I wonder what some of you would say.

we had a hot 38 year old assistant coach at my high school, I would have dropped everything... and still would btw, thats why teenage boys are different then teenage girls. Hormones all over the place!!
