A fifty year old that still has 4:20 mile speed and might break 15:00 for 5000? These are times that wouldn't impress me until I hit my forties. Its so dang hard to train. I never had good speed but like Blackmore I've had plantar fascitis for 3 years and try to jog around it. He's 4 years older than me. I raced him a couple of times back in the mid 80's. He was 6th at US Nationals in the 5000 and I was 8th that year.
Has to be the fittest 50 year old man in the United States.
I'm just happy to get through 6 runs of 6-8 miles at 8:15 pace these days. That's about all I can handle.
Glad that's settled.

There are no drugs involved, unless micro brews and an occasional glass of wine are on the banned substances list now.
