Sprintgeezer is this one of those things where you act mean to the person you have a crush on?

You already have.
OTOH, I DID pick him as the runner I'd want to spend Valentine's Day with, hanging around in the basement eating pizza & watching track on TV, with no chicks around.
Maybe in Star Wars pyjamas..........with feet.
Wait, Sprintgeezer would only get lapped 8 times? I'd figure he would just be finishing the first 5k by the time Solinsky finishes.
Sprintgeezer and Solinsky, sittin' in a tree...

Yeah, you're actually closer than I was. He'd likely get lapped about a dozen times, maybe a baker's dozen, and then he'd start yapping about how Solinsky isn't as tough as he is.
I could lift whatever weight Solinskrap lifts, PLUS Solinskrap himself as he is lifting it--that is, if he actually lifted anything other than slices of re-heated pizza.
Of course I'd have to do it with only one hand, as I'd have to hold my nose with the other.
As for any race, at any distance, I would crush Solinskrap, as would any of you. To win any such race, one must START, RUN, and FINISH, in that order--something of which Solinskrap has consistently proven himself incapable.
HE............IS.............Solinskrap.

Sprintgeezer, how old are you?
I agree with sprintgeezer here. in order to win a race, you must finish.
and solinsky has a policy about finishing races. his policy: he doesn't.

Moron alert: Solinksy was trying to race with a nagging injury. That is the season from which you draw your ass-inine ass-umptions. Sprintgeezer and you are obvious trolls.

Hell hath no fury like a Sprintgeezer scorned.
Sprintgeezer I feel sorry for you because if I was CS or his family I would be wishing for a day that I would meet you face to face and see who would be made into "krap" So he dropped from a few races that he should not have been running in anyway because of injury. He made the World Team on half a leg as he had an avulsion.......and FINISHED!! Taking Lagat to the line. I doubt you would be able to finish your little D3 sprint race if you had the sniffles, but pose behind some message board handle as though you were the toughest guy around. Grow up and learn the ups and downs of sport and realize how tough CS was for actually putting together a season with his injury. I know you'll have a smart aleck remark about how CS is a wimp and I'm a wimp, but I just had to throw my two cents in. Troll on....
this is probably all just a ploy
As a fan of the sport I have very high hopes for Solinsky. When I first tuned-in to him seriously he had just set the American Record in that shocker 10k. He looked big, tough, powerful, etc... In all of his interviews he talked about his durability and how it came from his size and consistency.
All that being said, the "I got pushed off the track into a bush" situation will absolutely haunt him if he never returns from this hamstring. It was an embarrassment. At the moment I have the image of a front-runner who can dominate domestic competition when completely, perfectly healthy -- but also of a guy who cannot hack it in a big-time track pack. In that way he's the anti-Centrowitz...until he proves otherwise.
If you want to build the "tough guy" reputation, and he played a very active role in that, then you have to be ready to face evidence to the contrary.
In closing -- I want the guy back badly, because this sport from a domestic perspective is sadly lacking in rivalries and top-end talent.
OK, I will lay off him until he actually does something to merit attention, favorable or not.
How does a guy who is bigger than Jeremy Wariner run world class 5k and 10k times? I wish this guy had better basic speed as you would think he could be a beast in the half mile if he had fringe world class 400 speed.
Chris,
Please don't start a thread then post under different names to update your status.
Runners use twitter and facebook for that function.
Appreciate it.
Chris has just been named assistant track coach at the University of Portland.
