    ah hello. 2:03:02 Marathonjust for shits and giggles I have also run 59:30 HMand 27:27 for 10k at altitude. Oh I also crushed the Kenyan Cross champs (toughest race in the world) and got 5th at world cross while training for the marathon.

    Incentives matter, I think. Karoki had a big incentive to go big- he needs to have a name to runners, not just "that little kenyan" like he is on the other thread. Even if he lost he would have been remembered for his balls. The bold move was pretty much worth straight cash in future appearance fees.

    Teg and Nelson didn't face the same incentives. The A Standard was all that mattered- they've already achieved all the earning power and fame that 2nd tier world class runners can get. But Curtis has something to prove. He's not usually mentioned in the same breath as Teg, Ritz, Rupp and Lagat, even though I honestly think he's the same caliber. So he had the incentive for a big, name-making move, and he went for it.

    I'm a big Curtis fan, ever since I saw him break 4 for his first time at my college's low key last chance meet in 2007. I like what Nova is doing.
