Bosshard ran a 9:12 in high school... and two years under Wetmore he is an all american in the 10k. Sure he got injured early on, but I'm sure every athlete that goes to CU wants to be pushed to their limit- and Wetmore is the guy to get them to the next level

Let's come up with a list. HS AA's that were collegiate AA's under Wetmore. HS AA's that never got AA under Wetmore. And HS non-AA's that achieved AA under Wetmore.
Then let's do it for any other coach in the country.
Wetmore's a good coach.

Every war is senseless. Just because you don't agree with to political agenda of our most recent war (I most certainly don't) doesn't mean you shouldn't support the people putting their lives on the line for our country.
Someone has to stand up and say enough's enough. By bowing down to these guys like they are heroes when they are really victims, it just exacerbates the situation. If you believe it's a senseless war, I say don't encourage them - enough with the patriotic honor bullshit.
What is amazing is that know one here even picked up on the fact that the winning time the other day was #6 all-time.
The course now has sections of wood chips instead of hard packed dirt and certainly runs slower than it once did. If your in the pack the footing can be very bad.
At least three of the faster times on this course were by Goucher, Ritz, and Jorge Torres. Brent Vaughn ran about the same as the winning time the other day and maybe Culpepper has one of the other top 5 times, not sure. If anyone has the all-time list I would love to see it.
If Wetmore can be accused of anything it's customizing the training to each individual. Care to make a list of professional runners that have come out of CU in the last 10 years, including a couple USA track record setters. How many have made an Olympic or World Championship team.
Their #4 runner the other day is from a local HS about 5 miles from CU. He was a 4:25 1600m walk-on as a Freshman. Nice job Cameron.
Ritz actually ran the course in 24:47 as frosh for his only mark on the course. Only CU ahead of Bosshard are Torres and Goucher. I believe Scott Larson and Kelly Christiansen (sp?) are two of the others.
There was not a single footlocker finalist who ran in the Shootout for CU and typically from the past if you are flirting with 25 minutes here you are also flirting with AA status in 7 weeks in Terre Haute. Add Medina and Tebo (13:48 and 13:50 at Mt. Sac last April) and this team could surprise more than a few.
One big difference this year was moving the start time to be earlier than any other previous year. Made things quite a bit cooler than usual.
You could always look at the media guidehttp://www.cubuffs.com/pdf8/708389.pdfAlso, unless you're drunk you really suck at writing.

A 4:25 mile in Colorado isnt that bad, but yeah nice to see clayton doin well
Does anybody know why Tebo and Richard Medina didnt run??
Hate it or love it Wettmore gets the job done, look at bosshard, Van Halen and Wacker, and tompson. all modest high school guys(none made it to Foot Locker), all tearing it up now. Though lots of guys do get hurt/quit. Its a high risk/high reward program.
Intresting to see the recruit classes without Jay(the man behind CU's recruiting in the ritz/goucher/culpepper/torres bros era). still some good talent, but not even close to what they once were
Tebo and Medina aren't quite 100% yet and it's a course that is tough on bodies. I bet they run prenats.

Really? Even though Jay matriculated after Culpepper and at the same time as Goucher? Your timeline is more than a little off there. He brought in some great talent, just don't go overboard.

I noticed that. All the more impressive for BOSSHARD and company.
