I think Jenny B will dominate. Just not now. Why would should? It's early in the season. She hasn't peaked. She has always had Pierce's number and has in pretty much every race from 1500 to steeple.

All of the athletes are just getting started. None of them have peaked. Take off your rose colored Jenny glasses.
How did Anna do?
Anna = DNS
Typical LetsRun idiocy. JB is a distance runner, with an optimal midpoint in the 3000 range. She has a very good 1500 mark, but has the 3000SC AR. This race is her first race of the season, so comparing it to her 1500 PR is somewhere in the stupid range. If she had run 4:00 would you have said 'That is not as good as her PR so it is a poor performance'?
You could always use the fucking internet and find out in less than a minute!

Although I agree with you in theory and I apply your comments to all of the women that are being compared in this thread, I must correct you on one point. This is not her first race of the season. She ran a 1500 at Stanford 2 weeks ago.

Could you please direct me to the f***ing internet?
The only one I've been able to find has been this one.

He is using the internet you dumbass.
Has LR become such a routine part of your life that you don't realize that it is an internet site?

On this site? Absolutely.
and thanks to nike for bringing out the 4x4 van and demo booth, wanted DT to sign my right cheek but there were too many kids around. next year they need to just have autographs right on the field. great meet though.
good vids by runnerstream. never heard of them but i guess there's room for 3 huh? nice job witht eh interviews. i like how they cut out the questions and just kept cutting to the athlete's answers, we're smart enough to figure out what they're talking about.
While you believe Jenny hasn't dominated the steeple, who has the better placing in the Olympics? Also who has the faster times? Jenny is the # 8 performer all-time in the Steeple and Ana is 27th. In the 1500 Ana is # 70 all-time and Jenny is #84. So Ana is .6 faster than Jenny. By the way Jenny is not a flat speed person. She has more endurance speed. Note also that she has not run many 800's. Tactically she ran a poor race (falling way off the pace and closing hard in the last 200) but still closed on Rowbury who arguably has better raw speed. I think she will be fine as a pro. She will be at worst the equal of Ana P.

Wrong, she ran an even paced race.
The others went out way too fast.
Barringer ran the smartest race, which was impressive to me.

THIS CORRECT. IT'S GREAT THAT BARRINGER STAYED WITHIN HERSELF AND RAN EVEN SPLITS.
I think your closing statement is accurate. JB is no better or worse than AP or SR.
Currently, on paper, SR has the most impressive resume
We can reconvene this conversation this time next year and adjust accordingly
Wrong. Since when does coming in 4th equal the smartest race tactics. Treniere ran the smartest race...let's be real here.

The Under dog wrote:2:02 performance wise isn't anywhere close to her 3:59 PR though. OK, not great. She should be able to break 2:00 rather easily.
exactly
trying :
http://www.jundo.co.uk/now, at her peak she went 3'59
we don't know her 400 abilty then but we can use various 400 inputs & extrapolate to 3k & 5k to see a ballpark line of fit for her ( she's run 8'42i & 15'01 )
with 3'59
60.0 ->2'04.0 , 8'12.7 , 13'59.2
obviously she is quicker than 60.0 as her 3k/5k is fantastical
59.0 ->2'03.0 , 8'16.7 , 14'10.6
similar
58.0 ->2'02.1 , 8'20.6 , 14'22.0
better, but 3k/5k still too fast
57.0 ->2'01.1 , 8'24.5 , 14'33.4
56.0 ->2'00.2 , 8'28.5 , 14'44.8
getting there
55.0 ->1'59.2 , 8'32.4 , 14'56.2
that's good enough - a 5k of 14'56 ( close enough to her 15'01 & an 8'32 - her 8'42 was indoor & ?solo & with a conversion factor of 101/102 to outdoors yields 8'36 - good enough )
at her peak, she shouda been going 1'59
Keep in mind she is just starting her season off right now. The big races are in a few months, and she will be ready then.
