Willard will be out for blood now.
Willard will be out for blood now.
both Barringer and Williard are planning on doing the 1500m/steeple double at USA's and hopefully worlds. schedule allows it for both meets.
Barringer looks about 5 lbs. lighter now than last year, she is very lean compared to last season.

Thats a very tough double. Many people underestimate what a steeple takes out of you. Considering the SC is something of a backwater, if I were JB I would concentrate on the 1500 for glory, then move up later if the competition is too much.

Just because they are Americans you think they are CLEAN? seriously? What is Jenny B now the 3rd under 4 minutes? ..... Who else did it... Marry Decker and Regina Jacobs? we all know they were drug cheats
Wrong - Jacobs never ran under 4 minutes - try Decker and Suzy Favor.
The commentating sickened me. Just becuase they are track people does not make them knowledgable about distance running. The first mention they made of Jenny B was with 100 to go. That's despicable. SHE was the story from the start and every distance runner in America knew it. "She might be close to the record." Are you kidding me??!?! How are these the guys who are being paid to do this? Great point earlier about it being a meet named after one of the most beloved DISTANCE runners in USA history. I was absolutely appalled. Also they wonder why no one watches track on television? How about not showing the interviewee during races? Go ahead and let us hear the interview, but let us watch the race for crying out loud! How about dedicating less coverage to shot put and high jump and more to Lagat (who was doggone impressive, yet again) and Jenny B? It is perplexing, to say the least, and it needs to change.

As already mentioned, you are wrong, she did setting the AR indoors.
Folks she wasn't wearing the yellow Nike jersey. i think they were paid to make sure people like Willard and Rowbury got teh spotlight.
The yellow jerseys were worn by the Nike athletes to support the charity livestrong which is a cancer charity.
'She decimated the Collegiate Record of 4:06.80 held by Hannah England of FSU as well. I was surprised the commentators didn't seem to have a clue what the record was and had no idea she was in the race and doing so well'
What make it worse he did actually mention the record after they went through the line. Then on the replay when they knew the winner had done 3:59 and they went over the line practically together said 'that must be close the the college record!
Then entereing the home straightaway. Maybe you call it that there (?) but in the rest of the world its called the home straight! I know its called a home run without watching more than 30 seconds of that sport. Could you imagine - and he's just hit a home runaway - you would get linched
Then his best & where is.......
(my notes)
Even those idiots could not spoil a great race though!
Since when do you need a commentator to watch a race?
You guys are like the retards that go to baseball games with their radios.
does any one have a link to the finish photo?
It was for a charity wrote:
