Yeah, Webb ran 3.53 in 2001 - what does that mean? That because he was at high school he wasn't potentially cheating?
I hardly bother coming to this website, but even I saw the link to the interview with the high school dude who was a stud sprinter/long jumper/football player who said drug use was rampant even at high school level. That's right from the horses mouth dude.
For an elite runner, one that trains and competes for a living, his peaks and troughs are just too unbelievable to be associated with anything but drug use. Put it this, way, if a Moroccan or Baharanian athlete was doing the same, you clowns would be all over them like a flash. Alan Webb went from SEASONAL (not lifetime PR) bests of 4.00 (with no 800 time) in 2006 (including getting beaten in the Scottish 800m champs????!!!) to 1.43 and 3.46 a year later (a mile time that is top 10 ALL TIME), back to 1.47/3.55 in an Olympic year, just a season later. Are you kidding me? Are you freaking kidding me?
How many 3.46 milers (or sub) over the course of history (we are talking about names like El.G, Morceli, Nygeny, Komen, Cram) did you EVER see pulling stuff like that? Even at their absolute worst, they never would be close to such garbage. Why not? Either A) They were clean (which not all of them were, or B) They were far more talented than Webb ever was even before doping, and the effects of doping on an average runner like Webb are far greater than for an already talented runner doing the same stuff.
It has been mentioned here before about Rashid Ramzi (case in point) and the fact it seems impossible he could run so fast given his horrendous form. The fact that he SPEEDS UP as his form deteriorates is basically a given. Yeah well just what the hell do you see in Webb that doesn't scream the same thing? I have never seen a sub 3.50 miler in my life with worse running form in my freaking life.
Leave Jelimo alone, she probably is, but then again who isn't? You guy need to look on your own doorstep before casting any stones.
