Could SIRI be a 60 dollar stock in 2012?
Could SIRI be a 60 dollar stock in 2012?
Probably not, their crushing debt comes due before then.
Disclaimer: I own shares of SIRI.
Good Call.
I just bought 15000 SIRI
I've read through this, and I can't speak with the financial background that some can, but I do pay attention to the car industry.
That said, there's little to nothing that GM has to look forward to in the near future. The Volt is a niche car, and quite possibly could arrive with the same thud as the new Honda Insight.
The Malibu is a very good car, but their marketing on it has died. The Howie Long commercials are a failure.
Nobody wants Saab. Or, at least nobody wants to be seen wanting Saab.
On top of this, GM is going to kill over 1000 dealerships, but nobody knows which ones.
The Lutz era at GM was one of promise, but always came up short. The list of cars that would "save GM" according to Bob, was long...
They never panned out. The only thing that has helped GM is their work in Asia. It's practically a different company.
Ford, by comparison has a lot of positive things going for it. The incoming Fiesta is REALLY well liked in Europe, and set up to do something similar to the MKV GTI a few years ago. (come in, sell well, and win awards) It may completely change the market for small cars in the US. (thinking about the crappy offerings right now)
Ford has several brands under the umbrella that are making good cars that people want to buy. The facelifted Mustang has a new engine, with an awesome code name, and good specs.
So, this is without dealing with financials, but I think there's some logic to investing in stuff that actually interests you...
(BTW, I don't own a Ford or Chevy)
