There are a lot more that read than actually post. I am not sure if he still does, but Alan for awhile was an avid reader...Unfortunately. Although a lot elites don't want to admit it, I would estimate that 90% regularly spend time looking at running related internet sites, with that said, I am sure Letsrun gets its share of action. When you are in heavy training periods, telephone, texting, books, video games and the 'internet' are your friend...you don't have time for a whole lot else.
I also know there was a period when Letsrun was practically being taken over by racists, and a lot of elites started disassociating themselves from Letsrun. I heard several athletes and coaches mention they did not want to associated with some of the rhetoric that was going on at the time. Things also got bad a couple year ago with the Alan bashing and unsayory discussions about Caitlin Chock, Nicole Blood, Jordan Hasay, Lindsey Sheriff(sp)and Brianna J.(sp)…some of those threads got out of hand.
