There are very few collegiate runners who can train by themselves these days. I am simply looking for ways to get me out the door when I am already tired and I don't have anyone to run with.

Well I made it out for 48 today, it was pretty nice out too.
I've also found something to run for, to motivate me for the rest of my life I think.

Who cares, if you like running run, if you don't want to run don't run. We'll all die anyway so might as well do whatever the hell you want.
I don't have the patience to wade through the three pages of this thread, so this may have already been said, but focusing on your goals for the fall should help to motivate you to get out the door during the summer. I've found that writing a tentative schedule, which may need to be adjusted depending on how you feel, can also help to keep me on target. Perhaps you could connect with a training group in your area. Good luck!
