Well Bauhs did beat McDougal at 5k in Washington last year, so we'll see. I'll definitely be tuning in to that live broadcast.
ya dipshit, guess your real smart

POD!
bauhs takes macdougal
That didn't go well at all

You don't know running if you would take Bauhs. McDougal is WAY better, you must be a D2 person or something because that is the only reason anyone would have for thinking he could stick with McDougal.
Say what bitch.
You were told to watch out for birmingham.
Great race. went out in 64's, slowed to 65s, went back to around 64s during the final mile. it was a bit choppy on our connection but it was fun to watch. Great job Birmingham and a nice 9 second pr for Scotty Bauhs.

Beware of Australian Collis Birmingham, I know he is having a run over there, and after his run in Carlsberg, he's looking good.
Apparently we should have payed better attention. Olympic A standard is hard to argue with.
what a slap in the face to everyone else to call the mt. sac. 5k "mcdougal vs. bauhs". awesome, they finished 8th and 12th
yeah but they were the first two american collegians so it was still a good comp btwn the two of them, there can be a race inside a race you know. fun to see the D2 kid beat the elitists. is scotty running the 10k at payton jordan?
QUIGLEY!
ha, well for one weren't saying the race would be between Scotty Balls and Josh McD, I was simply saying that was my favorite matchup of the race and I was anticipating a fantastic dual between the 2. the D1 champ vs the D2 champ, David vs. Goliath, whatever you wish to call it, and it was a fantastic race. Any race with olympians, ncaa champs, A standards, etc are fun to watch.
And yes I have heard Balls will be in the Stanford 10k, although conference is the day before, which he may race (well, tempo) also to get some points for his team, so we'll see how fresh he will be.
Also, Quigley is a badass, the best of luck to him at nats and with his training.

Ok Punk I am calling you out! Revel yourself and eat crow! You must now reveal your name and school so that you can be humilliated!
I need to add this:
Gary Towne is a geat coach. McDougal is a great runner and so is Bauhs - the difference - McDougal is and has been coached by morons. must be God's plan.

well he did win d1 nationals so they are impressive morons
maybe he could have done better with another coach, but i also don't think he's too upset with this 5k time now
few more weeks he may bust out a really nasty one
Sean Quigley (La Salle) has had the greatest breakthrough distance track season of any recent American distance runner in memory.
7:52, 13:30, 28:03!!!
Before this year he'd been 15th in cross, and top 4 in two NCAA track meets.
hey numnuts,
Oly trials are still a long time away...McDougie is peaking for that race...OR
he is just not in good shape and will suffer a bad season..which stinks since this is an Olympic year...
oh well, here's to Euro Track Circuit '09
McD is one of the most inconsistent top runners I've ever seen in the NCAA. He often seems to run better by himself than in a decent field.
Strange.
