103: Kaori Yoshida from Second Wind AC coached by Kawagoe. She's that tiny little girl, isn't she? She is sooo cute!!
Hey, Spider! How's Seattle? Wet? We are freakin' cold!!! What do you mean, a runner in a bubble from Osaka???

Sakamoto has picked it up...it is down to six.
Shimahara dropped? Are you sure?
You're right... Shimahara fell back; Sakamoto leading. So much for my prediction! ;o)
I will do...Nakamura looks good...Hara, Kano still there...109 too.
Sakamoto leading, followed by Nakamura, Kano, Ozaki, Horie and Hara. Hiroyama is 6 seconds behind this lead group. Oshima 14 seconds back, Shimahara is more than a half a minute behind. 30k in 1:45:23.
Hiya Nobby-san. Seattle is lovely, cool and a bit overcast, some drizzle now and then, not bad for around here.
By "the bubble" I meant the runner who goes to Beijing if someone from Nagoya does not take the spot. We know Tosa is going and the assumption is that Noguchi is going, which leaves whichever runner did best at the other qualifier (I think she ran 2:25 and I think the race was Osaka -- correct me if I am wrong) as the third member of the team unless someone in today's race has a better performance. You have to assume all the runners today know what time they have to beat, so if they are not on pace to better 2:25 I am a bit perplexed.

Kaori Yoshida won the Mari Tanigawa half marathon in Tokyo on Jan 13th in extremely cold and heavy wind in 115.I was there.
Now at 32k, Horie shook the group and Sakamoto fell back. Man, it would be hard for Shimahara to chase them because the lead group is now "racing".
19 too she has just gone to the front...Hara gone...Sakamoto gone.
Kano is there with Kano and Nakamura.
She's a cutie, isn't she?
It would be hard to say... You see, I think Shimahara was the second Japanese at the Worlds but if she gets beaten badly here, she won't have a chance. If she did well here, then even her time didn't exceed Omori's at Osaka (in January, not WC), she should get to go.
As for men, I think Ogata will take the spot because, even though he didn't medal at the Worlds, nobody did exceptionally well for men's races (Tokyo and Lake Biwa).
Nakamura has broken and is 30 metres in front...the rest have yet to respond...Kano is in 2nd.
It is Nakamuras 1st marathon.
Now Nakamura, a teammate for Sakomoto (also Yamaguchi from 2000) passed Horie at 33k. This is like a mad dash of the last 400m in some of the championship 1500m race!
You Talking to me Nobby,if so you got that right.A real fun person.
This is Nakamura's first marathon. She did well in the All Japan Ekiden in December.
what\'s happening now?
Takahashi at 31st place, about 9 minutes behind the leader at 30k.
Nakamura looks good...she is building her lead.
