You don't understand how this works apparently. He didn't run the final and the alternate ran in his place, where they secure the gold. So it was no harm, no foul.
Some of you asshats need to get a life. Tearing down a 16 year old track prodigy says a lot about who you are as people.
I don't think you know how it all works. An alternate didn't run in his place. Quincy was the alternate.
He didn’t humiliate himself at all. This post is filled with a bunch of middle age men who run long distance because they have no turn over speed. Anybody who actually ran track, not just watched it, and was fast enough to be on the 4x400 knows that the first leg is the longest and toughest leg. The coach should have never put their most inexperience runner on that leg. Quincy deserved to be on the relay he just should have been put on a leg that played to his strengths such as second or third. You old men are hating on a 16 year old Olympic Gold Medalist.
You are clueless. The first leg is not the longest, the 2nd leg is the longest and also the most difficult. You can see Norwood took the baton immediately after the opening of the exchange zone so Wilson actually ran the SHORTEST distance - probably 390 or 391 meters.
The 1st leg is the easiest because you just stay in your lane and you don't have to elbow and fight for position, nobody is cutting you off. You also don't have to move to an outside lane to pass people.
Quincy probably would have gotten DEMOLISHED in the exchange zone against grown men.

Yeah if you saw the penn relays, his high school kept falling down in the 4x400 and lost to Jamaica. Would not be good to have him in the exchange zone.
I am already confused between Quincy Hall and this Quincy.
Almost as confused as I was between Antonio McKay and Tony McQuay.
Funny you mentioned McQuay. He was on the 4x400 relay team in 2012 where Manteo Mitchell broke his leg in the opening lap of a preliminary heat but still managed to complete his run in 46.1(!) and allowing USA to qualify

Manteo Mitchell with a BROKEN LEG ran more than 1 full second faster than Wilson healthy.

Yes Sir. Even made a thread about it but got deleted for no reason at all
