Yeah although I actually assumed he was older. 31 right now, so he was 19 in London when he won gold, 18 when he won gold at the WC the year before. Pretty cool to see him keep it going for so long, though. 31 is a bit old in the 400 but then again SAFP was winning sprints well into her 30s.
MHS looks to be threatening WVNs 43.03 WR after that semi. This final is going to be nuts - I’m gonna say 4 guys under 43.5
No way. It’s like the 100 . Guys run 9.8 looking around etc. Half of them run slower in the final. They are more tense. Can’t relax etc. Hope I’m wrong but no way is someone running under 43.5 and not medalling
Michael Norman looked bad. Wish he could get back to his old form.
Didn't look like a killer, but dogged the first half of a fast semi and looked pretty/strong and controlled during the pivotal part of the race. Certainly hasn't planted a flag in the ground as a favorite, but hopefully he hasn't emptied the tank going into a final.

Yep. Michael Johnson was 33 when he won in Sydney.
Good catch, that's right. Hard to go for four medals but if you can start at 18-19-20 you've got a decent shot in your early 30s, assuming talent and everything else works out
said he went out too conservatively and had to push the gas harder than he expected in the third 100. Guy seems too in his head a lot of the time, which is tough because he's obviously super talented and seems to work his ass off.
He's as talented as Noah Lyles(both class of 2016 finishing 4-5 2016 200m Olympic trials) with the difference being the mental part.
there are so many compelling events to try to watch today im actually getting stressed out lol
womens wrestling gold, mens boxing, mens b-ball, womens volleyball and beach vball, the steeplechase, 1500, sydney, gabby, womens soccer, the controversial womens boxing semifinal
weightlifting kicks off tomorrow - lots of good stories to watch there too!
As much as Faith Kipyegon has accomplished, I would think that an Olympic silver medal might just be another day at the office. Seeing tears streaming down her face when they put her medal around her neck got me. I am so glad they overturned that DQ. She looked so happy!
Seeing Keely presented with her gold medal was almost as good as watching her win it. The emotion in her face says it all!
