They just mentioned Johnathan Gault and LRC on the Peacock broadcast during M1500m H2 Rep round.

Ritz really screwed up this year. I wonder if there will be fallout in the group over this. The rule of Beamish though dictates that he will likely medal.
I like the repechage round. Maybe they're not medal contenders, but still, racing for an Olympic final is pretty high-stakes. And it would give a possible contender a chance if for some reason they got bumped or ran a poor race in a fast preliminary heat and didn't automatically qualify.
Tough Olympics so far for OAC:
- Hoare and Romo don't run well in either prelim, Nuguse gets through but doesn't look great
- Klecker/Monson don't even make it to the starting line at the trials
- Hurta Klecker gets a tough break at the Trials
The Aussies are a bit like the American middle distance classes of recent history. Just have the potential to completely crash and burn in the majors. 4 really poor races.
George mills deserves a slap in the mouth for how he ran there. Pushing and shoving multiple runners when he was the one choosing bad lines

Man, what's up with the Australians? They suck all of a sudden.
Shades of all our favourite North African athletes, I'll be watching Jess Hull closely, if she performs poorly my opinion will be made.
Hmm, maybe that whole April National Championships isn’t a good idea
Olli out :(
Jon Gault got shouted out for half the race though :)

So no real advantage avoiding that round then. Just rest day instead of running 3.32.
Heh yeah this is the ultimate test of double threshold. Mills having to run a stressful 3:33, but he has months of 100mpw in base.

he's always very chippy but it seems like his fall in London has completely killed him. Running scared.
Riva, CPT, Mills through
Riva the first 1500m runner to meet the Tokyo 2025 qualifying standard (3:33.00) but that obviously not the priority now

That’s just the 1500 now. It’s become more physical in recent years, and honestly I think it makes it more fun to watch.
CPT!!!
What the hell was Hoare doing taking the lead so early? He had a rabbit he could ride until 1100. Such a moronic tactic, he should have gone through easily but chose to push it to a stupidly fast pace. The guy can finish, as he did at the CWGs, why doesn't he trust himself?
And George Mills needs to clean up his game. A little rubbing is fine, but he gets involved in so much shoving that it's starting to look like his strategy.

Hurta Klecker ran a sub-4:20 in the mile yesterday beating out MacLean. She’s actually showing good fitness though I know everyone is quick to pile on. Tough circumstance with the Mu fall but I wouldn’t lump her in as much.
Bad day to be Australian
Heartbroken for Ollie. Gonna order a limited edition tee from the Coffee Club to make myself feel better. I think he's gotta get his natural hair color back. It's just bad luck, that blonde.
