Participation in sports is not a right, it's a privilege and unfortunately if you are born with this condition you are not allowed to compete vs women.
IF you want to compete it must be as a male or sorry.. this sport is just not for you. The same way a 25 year old can't compete in a Junior High track meet. You just can't do it.
Imagine hating women so much that you pretend to be one just to gain access to an arena where you can legitimately knock them unconscious and be praised for it.
Um, from everything I read, it appears she was born/raised as female but revealed to have XY chromosomes.
You have a made up narrative and ignore facts to push it. Not sure what the answer is but bullying someone born intersex doesn’t seem like the best option.
Also worth noting that the other boxer appears to have quit because the first punch hurt her nose and she decided it was safer to do so and not because of her opponents apparent gender.
It's difficult to find out exactly what tests were done. I read one source that said high-T implied XY chromosomes, another that said XY chromosomes were tested for directly, and another that says the tests uses have not been disclosed.
No indication that they are trans. CAIS is a possibility, as are a number of other conditions.
If women have a problem with it they should speak up.
I never heard a woman complain about it so I assume they see no problem with trans in women sports.
Women are not afraid to speak up and fight for their rights.
Don't move a finger. It's a women's issue.
Tell me you have never spoken to a woman without telling me you have never spoken to a woman. Since you seem to be ill informed about women fighting to be able to compete in their own categories I would advise looking it up.
Also you think they can complain without being called transphobic you seem weirdly naive.
This is ridiculous. Most of the fellow Democrats I know HATE the participation of trans into women's sports.
I think if you are undergoing the huge life altering change of gender or even gender clarification the least of your concerns should be whether you can play a certain sport.
Life is full of choices and consequences. You can't have everything.
I find it interesting that nobody was complaining about her when she lost in the 2020 Olympics to another woman. I also find it interesting that anyone would think that Algeria of all countries would allow a trans athlete to compete - if you believe that, you need to read the CIA World Factbook on Algeria.
I find this thread to be extremely disgusting. She isn't a man - she was born a biological woman but has elevated testosterone levels that the IOC says are within their proscribed limits. She is legally a woman in Algeria, and it's designated as such on her passport. The IBA is a corrupt organization that claims she has XY chromosomes but has never provided evidence of this. I'm sorry she isn't the model of femininity that the manly men of LETSRUN.COM expect in all the hot chicks they're supposedly banging when they're on their business trips to Ottawa, but the concept of masculinity/femininity isn't as simple as you wish it were.
Don't worry though - the ones of you protesting so much will be able to return to your secret admiration of trans women as soon as the election is over and Fox News can leave this ginned up controversy behind and move on to outrage over the next President's Spring wardrobe choices.
You want them to release confidential medical information? I hate how it is assumed that if you oppose trans people in sports it means you are transphobic or right wing. As everyone who has seen my posts on other threads can confirm I firmly oppose this and am firmly left wing.
Wow, I just love what the left is doing with the Olympics this year! Scrotums, orgies, mocking religion, no AC, men beating up women!! This is great! I wish the left was in control of everything!

Don't attack them as a person. They were raised as a female and had no idea they had a genetic difference. This comes down to the IOC putting their foot down and recognizing IBA or adopting WA rules on this.

What does the left have to do with no AC. Yall seem to see to many conspiracy theories. Also what is peoples s3xual activity matter to you? The left did not establish IOC rules they just operate with whatever your passport says in boxing.

Yeah (part of) the issue here is that the IOC delegates this stuff to the sport-specific federations, but the IBA is a corrupt, opaque, Russian-oligarch-led org that is no longer recognized by the IOC. they ran! It seems likely that these athletes (Khelif is one of two athletes the IBA disqualified) have some sort of intersex condition, and if that's the case, it's worth discussing what rules should be implemented, but for now we're left with guessing based on appearance and/or trusting the word of an organization that makes FIFA look like a shining example of trustworthiness.
As stated, the International Boxing Association (IBA) feels it appropriate at this prevalent time, to address recent media statements regarding those athletes Lin Yu-ting and Imane Khelif, particularly regarding their partici...

AC destroys the environment, causing the oceans to rise 100 ft. and volcanoes to erupt. It kills the polar bears. Duh. I don't want to live in a jungle swamp earth with one mile thick glaciers you earth killer.
The boxer who quit said that it was not because the Algerian boxer was intersex. She got hit on the nose and was in too much pain to be able to continue. She said that she was not making any kind of political statement by quitting.
Khelif probably has DSD causing her to have XY chromosomes and higher levels of testosterone while otherwise having female genitalia. There is no way she is trans. Algeria is pretty horrible when it comes to the treatment of LGBTQ people. Same sex sexual activity is against the law in Algeria and there really isn't any LGBTQ movement because people are so openly against homosexuality that violence against LGBTQ people is common and widely tolerated.
Khelif has competed against women and has a record of 9-5. Coming from N. Africa, it is fair to say that it is an open question whether she has an advantage due to a hormonal condition or whether she is doping or a combination of the two.
Khelif's main advantage seems to be her reach. Her arms are just longer than the other women. That may be the result of her hormonal condition.

While I have sympathy for athletes like her and Caster (note I am not a bigot, I do not misgender them) the science is clear. There is no place for them in female sport unless they adhere to a certain testosterone level. I suppose boxing isn't there yet.

If she's gone through male puberty and has these truly-can-only-be-male levels of testosterone then she will potentially (stress that word) have much higher power and strength than a 'normal' female with female testosterone levels can acquire. Boxing imo seems one of THE key sports where the inclusion of DSD athletes gives vast unfair advantage. That the Algerian has lost a few bouts doesn;t alter the principle - I have no idea of her training or experience or boxing prowess.
