I wouldn't be so sure.
Obviously at the moment the 800m is by far her best chance of getting an Olympic gold. And it makes sense for her to focus on that without any distractions.
But if she gets that gold I could see her wanting to see what she can do in the 1500m.
Her coach definitely thinks she should. This is what he said last year after she'd won the Paris DL race and set a new British record:
She’s very reluctant [to move up to 1500m], and she is more of a 400m-800m runner right now. It’ll be a few years yet. Maybe LA (Olympics 2028) and onwards. Perhaps we can tempt her into it if she gets bored of the 800m, and we can move her up. She definitely has the skills for it.
