Chris Lear has only written two books in his life - Running With the Buffaloes and Sub 4. What has he been doing all these years?
Running with the Buffalos was an all time running classic. Newbury Park was the all time best cross country program. I’m honestly stoked to hear this books on the works. Anyone know the actual title ?
Brosnan would never do clinics or give the details everyone wanted to know about. I would be very interested in reading this book. It’s huge to have Lear on board too.
Anyone know the name of the book ?
What are the details everyone wants to know about? Wouldn’t it just be a book about high school distance running?
This got downvoted, but seriously, what are the details everyone wants to know about? Are they training related?

My guess it’s not a cook book and it’s a book about Newbury Park the best high school cross country team ever. I’m not sure you realize but people like reading stories and the inside look on people that go great things

I'm honestly more interested in a book about his 1 year at UCLA. True investigative research to find out if he tampered with athletes, and what caused his contact not to be renewed. Interviews with athletes from the team, opposing coaches like Vin Lananna, the UCLA athletic director, etc.
I heard rumors that he tampered but nothing that can be proven. UCLA is a good enough school and the athletes lived close enough that it’s plausible they committed within a day. But it seemed like too much of a headache for UCLA to deal with as they move to the big 10, especially in a minor (non football) sport.
So many books that are duds in running. Hopefully they do this right. The story is there but if it’s a self published Amazon book it won’t be good. The fact he got Lear aboard is a good sign

If all Brosnan’s trolls buy his book he will be a millionaire
Wouldn't be much to write about. He had 2 extremely talented families with a total of 5 crazy fast runners.
He will probably talk about these families a lot in the book because he’s such a big fan of them. And he still tries to attend all of the races the Youngs are in
Ch 1: Coach 2 elite families. Get them on board, training together, pushing each other.
Ch 2: Over race the Youngs. Fail to win NXN as a team. Create strife within team.
Ch 3: Who actually coached the girls.
Ch 4: Why Seymour got worse when moved to NP.
Ch 5: UCLA did no well.
Ch 6: Bah Bye.
Ch 7: Scores of other coaches who have had sustained and better excellence over time without recruiting and breaking CIF Rules. Soles, American Fork, Loftus, pick any Jesuit, Lang, etc. all storied careers building programs and developed faster runners,

The post I responded to was regarding details everyone wanted to hear, but probably won’t be in the book.
The book will be about great kids from great families, their workouts, and their accomplishments. There will also be a lot about Brosnan’s running philosophies. What else should be in the book?
How Newbury Park became the greatest High School team in history:
Written by: Sean Brosnan , Chris Lear , Andrew Greif
This dude does not get renewed to UCLA’s broken program then he goes on to sell a script to a studio to make some $$$ and he is now coming out with a book about Newbury Park’s legendary era. I absolutely freaking love this. Im also hearing it’s not just a rumor that Brosnan will be with a pro group in the fall.
Sean Brosnan announces his book about Newbury Park? I’m sure the cover will feature a great shot of the Newbury Park runn— Nevermind. It’s a giant photo of Sean Brosnan
"How to recruit the Upper Middle Class, and win." How I kept entitled and well heeled people happy and got their kids to run real good with modern training methodology
Economics have nothing to do with success in distance running.
