Hello AtlBystander. I was at the race working medical support down by the finish line. I have a source that tells me he is alert and awake at the hospital as of Thursday night. We are trying to locate the names and contact information of any laypersons that participated in the resuscitation for plans for a survivor/rescuer reunion. . 706-593-2155. Thanks you.
There have been a total of 13 cardiac arrests in the 55 year history of the race. Of the arrests where the collapse location was known and recorded the most frequent locations were 3 on "cardiac hill" between Peachtree Park Drive and Brighton Road; and 6 occurred at or within 6 blocks of the finish line (10th Street between Peachtree Street and Charles Allen Drive.) I would interested in hearing what you know about the arrest that occurred in 1980. Thanks.
Can't imagine how much more insufferable this board would be if someone died in the middle of the Olympic Marathon Trials like Ryan Shay did 17 years ago.
These sadistic fvcks would attack however did it and knowing how depraved these people are they would probably harass the family. Similar to Westboro baptist at sandy hook funerals.

Yup. That so many posts were removed is very telling about some people!

It was around back then. Things weren't as insufferable. But chatbots with the goal of dividing people along socially divisive issues (health, gender, etc) hadn't really been invented yet.
Can we have some common sense here? THis should be a thread about what hapepned at Peachtree not yet another thread to argue the merits or demerits of the Covid-19 vaccine.
Many people correctly point out that the vaccine has caused heart problems. Even the CDC says:
Though cases of myocarditis and pericarditis are rare, when cases have occurred, they have most frequently been seen in adolescent and young adult males within 7 days after receiving the second dose of an mRNA COVID-19 vaccine; however, cases have also been observed in females, in other age groups, and after other doses.
Nothing wrong with saying that. Pro vaccine people will correctly poitn out that people were dropping in road races long before the vaccine like Ryan Shay. NOthing wrong with saying that.
But this isn't the thread for that to be debated over and over again.

You're a real piece of work dude. "don't talk about this but according to the cdc..." JFC.
The chances this guy had vaccine induced myocarditis vs something else (Heat illness, undiagnosed cardiomyopathy, etc) are literally ZERO.ZERO
