It was predictable that she flopped in the 1500. I enjoyed it. Devastating defeats lend to emotional stress and poor performances, far more often than not. Somehow everybody wants to believe in supercharged comebacks. That's only in play for ultra elite who have an outlier fop. For everybody else you better take advantage of huge opportunities the first time.
First acting like she lost some kind of medal because of Mu. Then dropping F bombs in interviews all pissy like someone owed her something. The forcefully shoving Elle in the 1500 for no reason. Thankful this OAC drama queen is finally gone. Not sure who she thinks she is.
Feels like kicking down to make an entire thread about someone who had every right to be upset and probably only showed a fraction of the emotions felt.
Bumping was 100% Sage’s fault. Elle held her line and was in front of her and she shoved Elle. Zero sympathy for her not making the final here and she nearly took out a legitimate medal threat.
Elle held her line? Watch the race again, Elle cut in on Sage when there wasn't near enough room to do so and deserved that shove.

Actually, I think she's been incredibly composed under the circumstances, though honest about how she's feeling. E.g., even in that interview right after the 800 final where she talked about being angry, she's actually forcing a smile for much of it. I can't think of a less appropriate term for her than "drama queen," in fact.
Sage is actually quite the sweetheart if you ever meet her. Humble, hard working and bright. Obviously, she has been frustrated over the years at Usatf - and lost her usual cool.
Good for her. She is only human.
She’s a smoke show too. I wish she made it further so I could look at her more
I remember during Uceny’s peak, you were assured that someone was going to trip or get shoved. Then Uceny (who was always involved) would complain about how it ruined her race. She was a an absolute thug.
Sage seems to have a little of that too. More concerned with playing defense and blocking/impeding her competitors than maximizing her own race.
Her window has closed for the 800m and 1500m. She'll be 30 at the next Olympics. Unfortunately there's way too much talent at the mid-distance (and coming up through the youth ranks) to make it at that age.
She should consider moving up to 5000m. Better shot there.
Rubbing is racing. The problem with most of the athletes now a days is they are always the victim. The mens 800 had a lot of physical contact but they all stayed on their feet. It’s unfortunate what happened to Sage but it’s part of the sport. The sport owes her nothing and she isn’t entitled to any team.

You did not watch that video correctly. Reminds me of when people blamed mo Ahmed for tripping Fisher during the worlds 10000m final in 2022 when in fact it was Krop who cut him off.
Elle starting cutting into Sage’s space on the turn so Sage start tapping her. Elle continued so Sage pushed her out hard. Elle than proceeded to cut her off and Sage shoved her back.
If Elle wasn’t at fault, why did she receive a yellow card from the officials? On the official results you idiots don’t know how to look at facts, straight up stupid emotional incompetence.
This is the way I saw it as well as far as the back and forth during the race. Two things can be true. Hurta is a bit unrealistic in her thoughts about her qualifications and she should have encouraged ESP not to get in her space during the race.
I would think that this week has hurt her popularity among fans. She was unlucky to be right next to the overwhelming favourites exactly when they were making mistakes.

Dude or Dudette....what is missing in your life that you feel to continually post nonsense such as this and what you posted in the Gear thread....which should have you kicked off.
I don’t understand the hate. She just seems honest and transparent in her interviews rather than measured and calculating in her answers. I appreciate the real emotions. She just says what most would be thinking given the circumstances.
She was born with more genetic gifts than 99.99% of humans. Insanely intelligent (hs valedictorian, 3.9 in stem at uc), tall, beautiful, supremely athletic…Now it’s boo hoo poor me when this didn’t go her way

Totally agree with awsi. There is no way she would have made the team in either event. And now we have to her her bitter rants and how everyone did her wrong

Glad she’s gone. I’m sure if she ran the final there would be another incident for her to get pissed off about and we’d all have to hear it for another week. Suck it up buttercup.

I don't want to watch that form for 5000m.
With that arm swing, maybe the steeple is her best bet.
