Awful take. Do you understand anything about periodization? Robinson was injured for much of the season. What we are seeing now is his best. Bailey's PR is 44.42, a time he ran on a cold, windy track several weeks ago pretty much alone, not in a crowded warm stadium on a Eugene track with light legs. Your argument is that since they haven't run 44 low before, they won't run 44 low. You know that people can... improve right? Like, they can run times better than they have run before.
Do you understand how much someone's PR in something like the 400 can drop in these conditions when an OLYMPIC TEAM is on the line?? Quincy Wilson went 45.1 a week ago and now he goes 44.6 in his first race vs competition all season.
Quincy Wilson could beat them, i'm not arguing against that but the odds are HUGELY stacked against him. He's a 16 year old! Those two guys have close to 5 years of strength, speed, endurance, growth, maturity, and experience on him.
