What did Norman take off his bib? He took something out and handed it to a guy, who handed it to another guy, who finally handed it to a third guy. Is this the chip for getting 100m splits?

Hopefully Norwood has more in the tank, 45.40 💩 I’m more hopeful than I am with Deadmon because it was a less competitive heat on paper.
Dude wth? It’s a first heat and Norwood won and Deadmon qualified comfortably in 2nd. They’re fine.
Not just that, but... it's a heat, first 5 per heat advance (+ next 2 fastest) so any top guy is going to realize he has a lot of room to play with, effort-wise. Only 6 guys are going to be eliminated, out of a field of 33.

Where is everyone. Such a sad attendance at the first day of the Trials. Yeah more will show up later but this first Day attendance is abysmal and embarrassing
Yes it’s a chip. They used them at NON last week, they were showing live stats for runners, counting the meters run, meters to go, meters behind the leader, and projecting finish times for longer races. Initially I thought it was cool. But it’s better to just watch the race. If you didn’t have a video feed it would be super cool. Also gave peak mph for runners.
What are the rules for scratching during the meet? Any chance someone like Shamier Little who could be in the relay pool runs a hot time in the 400 flat prelims, then scratches the rest of the 400 heats and focuses on the 400h? Or are you done with the meet once you scratch a race?
