He’s either 19 or turns 19 next month. Either way that’s really old freshman for college. Meaning he’s a year older than your typical HS senior. This is wildly known by current top HS coaches and spoken about.
If he turned 19 next month, which I’m not convinced is true, he would not be a year older than your typical high school senior. He would be ~6 months older than average.

For like the third time, no it's not. Maybe she was, maybe she wasn't - the point is, if she WAS held back, it was likely because she would've been among the youngest had she enrolled to start kindergarten with class of 2024.
So it makes perfect sense why her parents might've wanted to hold her back or delay enrollment by a year

Nico Young was 17 when he graduated HS and 18 entering college. This is normal for HS age kids. 19 entering college is old
Nico was young for his grade. To be a senior graduating at 17 is younger than average. Most graduate at 18. It would've made sense to delay him by 1 year as well, similar to what Sadie's parents likely did, but ultimately is up to the parents
Obviously, but she turns 18 this August. These morons are trying to argue how that's too old to be a senior, despite literally every senior turning 18 at some point
No one who saw Danny racing in Middle school races would have thought for a second that scrawny, short, knock kneed kid was old for his grade. If anything, you’d have thought they pushed him ahead a year.
This whole thing only becomes an issue when the kid turns 19 during the SCHOOL year. For example, if they already start their senior year at 18, and turn 19 at any point during the school year (so August-May) then THAT is an old age to be a senior.
Jelani Watkins for example, the anchor of the 38.92 4X100 team earlier this season. Apparently that kid turns 20 later this year, presumably in the fall, which means he was 100% held back.
I've never been a fan of near-20 year olds competing in HS sports, but it is what it is.
She will be 19 when entering college. Thats a year older then her grade
Nope. That's the correct age group. Like I said, she's just among the oldest.
95% of her class will also turn 19 as they are in college by May.
thats almost year difference. Hence being a year older then her class. Being 19 when you ended college is not close to being normal. The real question is why is Sadie still on HS next year. Was she pulled back or her parents did not enter her in school the required age ?

Exactly, there are plenty of kids in C/O 2024 who turn 19 this year. Obviously some just turn 19 earlier than others - no sh!t, that's how birthdays work. There could be some that turn 19 as early as July this year
