Were we watching the same race as the commentators? They're talking about how bad Lemngole's hurdling is and how Markezich isn't losing ground as Lemngole was actively pulling away on the back stretch.
Amusingly, Marzevich wasn't leading on any of the splits. So Lemngole was on her shoulder a step ahead every lap. Marzevich did a great job of matching pace changes to hold the rail.

The announcing in that 1500 was terrible. They completed missed the break, and then they spent the last 400 talking about the Oregon runner, and barely mentioning the DOMINATING performance up front. They spent most of the race talking about how the slow start played into Ramsden's hands, and then in the post-race interview she says that it was her "worst nightmare" for the race to go out slow. I might watch on mute today!
They said Stark won despite a great start, and then during the replay you can see her in first right out of the blocks. Then, in the interview she said her key to success was her start. You can't make this stuff up! Oh, and making her post-race championship interview about how much faster Grant Holloway is after saying her race was a "smokeshow" isn't sitting right with me.

Yeah, I'm gonna keep going. They called McKenzie Long a "tatted-up rebel" right after the video of her explaining that she goes to the bleachers and prays to God and her deceased mother before races. Yikes
Maia Ramsden about to double back in the 5000 in a few hours.
We will see. I still think this was just a safety in case she fell in 1500. Will run, but I doubt now after 1500 win it will be a serious effort. Same for Bush.
