Perfect race by Muir, played Haylom like a fiddle.
McGee not looking like she’ll be able to make another USA 1500m team at this rate, too much competition and not in shape yet still

McGee going backwards that last 400, ouch. Dani Jones with a p.r.
Hope Cory isn’t mean to Dani now.
Not related, but Stockholm is such a great city. 🇸🇪
McGee had a nice streak of making the US team, but shes not gonna cut it this year.

Oh so close to breaking 4. She shouldn’t be written off - this run shows she’s definitely in the mix for that 3rd 1500m spot. The competition for that 3rd spot is going to be fierce.

She still has the card of you know she’ll get out on the rail and probably run the smartest race. That being said. She seems to be maxed out at 4:00-4:01 and hard to imagine nobody behind ESP/Hiltz has a 3:58-9 in them on the day.
Seems like everybody is thinking the same about McGee.
I truly think ESP is the only lock. Hiltz always pulls off as next American but MacKay and Johnson were within a second at pre. I think MacClean will round into form and now Jones is right around 4 flat too. Trials will be fun!!
Good 3:57 win for Laura Muir, off day for Haylom (4th 3:59), with McGee tying up badly the final 250, looked lactic coming home and will have a big mountain to climb to make the team this year after a couple average performances. Dani Jones with a nice 4 flat PR, will this year finally be the time she steps up and is a contender at trials?

Reekie having a strong start to the season with a 1:58 2nd to Moraa in Doha, 1:57.4 in Eugene 3rd to Hodgkinson and Moraa, and 1:57.79 today for the win by nearly a second. Would love to see her sneak in for a medal!
She’s looking strong and seems tactically a little better after the Indoors where she didn’t race to her potential I thought. Would also like to see her medal!

She should have waited until after Paris to screw around and do her wedding tour. Too many distractions in a crucial year.

Muir looking good! Raced that very well despite the pacemakers not going round in what was asked. I expected Haylom to have more of a comeback?
Griffith also looking strong, only a couple of days after that 3k win.

Yes, Muir did. Did anyone catch the Hutchins reference? He was talking about how Muir ‘looked human’ at the end of her races and exhausted - unlike some of her competitors who jump around and look like they could keep going. We all know what he’s referring to, and he’s 💯 right. It’s a pity that clean athletes have to race against obvious dopers, but that is unfortunately the sport right now.
I don’t think Ethiopia is doing a W1500 Trials, but they can’t seriously take Haylom over Welteji or Freweyni Hailu in any circumstance. If Tsegay goes 5/10 I guess it’s a non-issue as the other candidates for spot #3 are equally challenged in anything but a drag race.
ESP
Hiltz
Wiley ? Maclean? Mackey? Jones? Tuohy? (lol jk)
McGee, Norris, Johnson (seems not in form this year sadly),
Lol this 3000m won't even sniff Gebrhiwet's last 3000in Oslo
M3K not blistering yet, should be a fun last 400.

Name names or stop with the insinuations. Muir has herself made her thoughts on Genzebe Dibaba pretty clear in the past, but if you’re lobbing accusations at Kipyegon that is directly in conflict with Laura’s POV on her.
Rooting for McSweyn, hope he at least beats Nordas
I’m curious why Hiltz is on a different level than all of the third row. They haven’t run significantly faster than the rest? I guess their kick is the best, but Hiltz usually just plays it safe.
Mackay taking a big swing at worlds should at least be on the same level as Hiltz.

Nope, no sign of him. Great race overall tho as there were 10 all there at the bell.
Disappointed by Grijalva. That was a very winnable race but he was too tentative.
Stayed wide in second around the turn after the bell and then let himself get boxed on the last turn.
