Jakob races pre 5 days ago after being in the USA for over a month. Jet lag and tired legs? Thats a hard turn around especially after a season opener after a harsh injury. Considering the variables that’s impressive for Jakob in my opinion.
a bit of jet lag east to west to be sure.
did it done it.
west to east isnt so bad.
it would add more than a second to my time thayt is for sure.
i seen the race and Ingerbritsen lost by a hair, they didn't show the pictures or replay of whose hips crossed the line first. It was Chariot that crossed firs. You would think that the norwegians would be fair. No. Their judgement was tainted by their love for the hometown hero, Ingerbritsen. But at least we know with absolute certainty that Warholm lost. Dos Santos is the guy to beat, not Warholm.

And he’s not sharpening just yet. But the jealous little brainwashed cuckaroos at LR will look for any excuse to bash. Tbey hate seeing a paleface who has some moxie.
I recommend you to look at a map if you think you are equally jet lagged flying from Kenya as you are flying over from the US. Seriously.
I'll also appreciate it if you found a direct flight between Nairobi and Oslo. Go on, point me towards one.
Sorry to disappoint, but even if it isn't a direct flight you will not get the same time difference as between the US and Norway. Look at a map. No-one goes through the US or India flying from Kenya to Oslo. Probably via Amsterdam.

Eugene -> Oslo is almost identical in distance from Eldoret -> Oslo. I mean really, draw a circle around Oslo that intersects Eldoret, and it would also intersect Eugene. It's really quite sad that you and everyone who upvoted this didn't look at a map themselves

Go to worldathletics. Jakob won, barely. Take off those rose tinted glasses of liberal guilt.
Another note on Tim. Closed in 13.1 for the last 100 today. That is his best closing speed since his 2020 season. He was sprinting very well at the end today, and that is encouraging. He still will be challenged vs Komen who closed in 12.9 in Doha and has been making a habit of that sort of speed. Only a few guys can close like that with regularity (Nordas, Habz, Wightman), and they are all dangerous is they can get themselves near the front. We've seen it from Wightman only really.

This isn't how time zones work. Hope you are trolling.

Interesting post.
Distance from Eldoret to Oslo: 4308.8 miles.
Distance from Eugene to Oslo: 4793.8 miles.
Shortest flight time from Eugene to Olso: 14 hours 49 minutes but most are 17-18.
Quickest flight from Eldoret to Oslo is 32 hours on google flights.
But that's misleading. You can get fro Nairobi to Oslo in 14 hours with 1 stop. The shortest from Portland to Oslo is 12 hr 15 minutes but two others are 14 so the travel is very similar. But the time change is vast.
We had a pretty good thread the last day or two about when he could start the squeeze in the Olympic final, based on the Bowerman Mile. In this race he took the lead as the final pacer peeled off with almost exactly 500 to go. He was ready and waiting to take the lead and go, and it worked to the tune of a win by .03 via a dive at the line.
Take out the pacers and it's a different kettle of fish though.
Arguably he was leading the 2nd pack from 28 seconds in. The pack got contact with the pacers at 800m before the last pacer stepped off at 1000m. I'm not sure how this would be different without the pacers?
Can we please stop the hate on these phenomenal athletes. These guys work hard everyday just to get losers personally insult them on a messageboard. I see it on every thread. Please stop it 🙏🙌🏻.

which is slower than his average pace for 143 800m
