Yeah, looks like the last time someone broke 3:30 without Jakob in the race was 30 June 2018 where Tim Cheruiyot won. Not that Jakob was pushing the pace back in Tim's dominant era
And I think Kerr would’ve done it last year. Unfortunately for Kerr, second pacer Matthew Ramsden did everything short of kicking him in the shins to prevent the possibility.
People love to talk sh1t about attendance in the States, but it looks like there’s about 50 people in the stands in Marrakesh. Sad.
On a different note it looked like Tokyo filled the entire lower half of their Olympic stadium for their Gold level meet. Track attendance is weird! It seemed this meet was lively in Rabat.

How can I watch this? I don't do streaming and I just have an antenna. Any sport worth watching you can watch on one of the main networks over the air so how do I watch this with no Internet or cable?
Anyone know what Ato was talking about when he said a new WL in the 100 was run yesterday by “the South African?” It’s not on the WA toplist yet in any case.

So Emmanuel Korir had a very poor return to racing. Another Olympic champ - Conseslus Kipruto up in the steeple. I think he might do slightly better comparatively, anything under 8:25 I think would be decent. DNF would not be a surprise though

Low 8:20s would be ok, but it would still make him “done,” right? Koech, Kibiwott, Serem, et al should keep him off the Kenyan team. My impression of Kipruto is that he always had more talent than dedication or professionalism, which doesn’t bode well for a return.

tbf there havent really been any performances that would really make me want to go. not many big names, and those that are haven't run any great performances. far different from the world championships being in eugene
its criminal that the 5k in LA had as few spectators as it did though. did you see the night of 10k pbs? that looked electric

I tend to agree, going to be hard to make the Kenyan team unless he's back around 8:10 fitness. Yet to see if Leonard Bett is back to health in time for trials
Sekgodiso looked too comfortable easing past Alemu ftw. Should the big three take note?
Yeah she’s had the really impressive early-season races before. My concern is how she times her peak. That being said Nakaayi, Duguma, Sekgodiso, even Phoebe Gill all look impressive. Excited to see a bunch of them at Pre.

Yeah top 3 looking strong. I had some Koech concerns but then he romped last weekend in 8:22A at KDF.
