Literally no one would be star struck by her. She is a distance runner that 60 people have ever heard of, all of whom are on LR. No one cares about distance running.
I think you could be describing those who have a rather different position here from mine. I have picked up on what the interviewer was saying. So you are accusing him of the same?
This forum made the effort with contributions from multiple parties sharing good information on the cross-training thread pertaining to the recent RunnersWorld on Parker Valby. But you single-handily, along with astro’s parroting, destroyed that thread by covering it over with pages and pages of your inane nonsense.
If you think droning on and on with your accusations, to the point where the opposition wakes up and tires from your nonsense, is in your feeble mind, ‘winning a debate’, then you truly are deranged.
I have nothing more to say to you. It is pointless to argue with a donkey, less one becomes like the donkey.
The BroJos are absolutely complicit in the shenanigans of slandering innocent athletes on this board.
Your work to transcribe this pile of excrement is appreciated.
Interviewers have a huge advantage; time. They can prepare their questions and the interviewee has to respond on the spot. While they can anticipate questions, they never know how they will be worded or when they will be asked.
If THAT is the best that the interviewer can do, I don't want to hear anything about her answers.
Aside: I have found some of her previous interviews to be a bit cringe as she is working to decide whether to be serious, sincere and thoughtful, or joking, lighthearted and goofy and waffles back and forth from answer to answer. But she is young and deserves a lot of space to figure that out. However she answers questions, I find her to be reasonably humble and I have never heard her say anything unkind, or to whine, so that's a good start.
I'll share a critical view that is hopefully a step up from so-called 'inane nonsense.' For me it's not about the amount of cross-training alone. It's the notable lack of fatigue combined with the all-over-the-place conversations/attention span, something which was also mentioned in the RW piece. The pacing around and frustration (and again, lack of fatigue) after the recent blazing 10k also seemed odd to me. If I had to theorize on what's going on, maybe it's ADHD meds and she has a TUE?
I'm sure this will get deleted but if people are going to speculate I'd hope we'd be allowed to be specific without outright accusing anyone of anything. It's certainly a thrilling time in the sport and I hope everything that I find thrilling is above board, but I think it would be naive to assume it is.
Humorous banter is only funny for two or three comments. Some interview participants don't know when to stop. We weren't listening to hear about ABBA or how long it's been since his last track interview, etc.
This guy and Anderson think they can flirt with her rather than conducting an interview. Woman like her know that they can smile and laugh and every guy thinks they have a chance. I guarantee that this guy's wife was furious with him when he got home.
Definitely a weird interview. All her interviews with males, the males seem to be creepy and trying to act cool around her when interviewing. Valby also knows she's attractive and plays up that card big time. Obviously she's on Adderall also.

The interviewer's question was apparently "slandering" her, too. It is hard for fans to accept that not everyone out there sees her successes the way you do. They don't get how less training than everyone else makes her a much better athlete than everyone else.
There's no need whatsoever to question a 14:52 women's runner in this era. Question the 14 flat woman.
It can be questioned according to the age level they compete at and how much and how fast they have improved after injuries on a very limited training programme.
Gee. I don't know. I guess every interviewer should ask every event winner how it is possible that the athlete is the best even though they do the same training as thousands of other college athletes. The interviewer should accuse every winner of doping because they couldn't be the most talented. Everyone is born with identical level of talent.
