This is a deeper question about what makes somebody white. In America, White Anglo-Saxon Protestants are the archetypal white. The further you deviate from the archetype by being Catholic, Orthodox, Jewish, Muslim, southern European, or Middle Eastern the less white you are perceived to be.
White is as much a social status as it is a racial one.
My dad’s white American ancestry goes back 300 years. He graduated from a public school. Then volunteered to join the military and served seven years. He left the military and worked a crappy factory job that started at 10 dollars an hour until retirement. There was always food on the table and he was always a loving father.
I went to public school and then to college. I received not a single cent from my parents towards college. It took 15 years but I payed off my college loans by myself.
I’m as white as they come. What white privilege do I have?
What white privilege do you have?
You have the privilege of not having your race being factored into assessments of your person, by a large swath of the population.
A Nigerian family, an Albanian family, a Taiwanese family, all immigrate to the US in 2023. Does the Albanian family enjoy privilege based on their color?
I wrote this for the following reason. My son's good friend is a freshman at NYU. In class he was told he has white privilege and doesn't know what it's like to be an immigrant. I guess they're not used to seeing blonde Muslims and figured that he's just a spoiled rich business major. He replied that his relatives were killed indiscriminately and that his mother fled Albania and raised him and his sister by herself in a 1 bedroom apartment. He also said if you told her this she'd probably hit you. Apparently, he was reprimanded for that remark by the professor and school.
Anyway there are many immigrants of color that have more wealth than white people.
I empathize with him. Liberals can be mean people. Good for him for sticking up for himself!

Many of us can see who gets the real privilege. But are not allowed to say it. You can talk all you want about white privilege, white supremacy, white racism.

That's white privilege.
Follow up, clarification - the large swath includes both liberals and conservatives. Both bigots and advocates factor race into their positions.

It is made up nonsense. What a really exists is the white man's burden. The responsibility of being the only group capable of leadership has nevesetated they take onto their shoulders the buedens of the world.

How many people have lost their careers and been censored on nearly all social media and have even been de-banked for calling out white privilege and racism

It means your dad didn't face any barriers because of his racial background. He may have had other barriers in life, but none due to the color of his skin. The privilege is that he benefitted from not being a racial minority.
It's pretty simple really.
Making excuses for group’s failures. Nobody believes the US is systemically racist to everyone non white except Asians and actual Africans.
