It’s utterly ridiculous that people like you dismiss the possibility that there could have been foul play in Kiptum’s death. I don’t think Kipchoge was involved. But it could have been a fan of his. Or more likely the Kenyan mafia wanting money. Kiptum’s father said strange dudes came looking for him, so that should be more than enough reason to suspect foul play.
How do you know the thing that distracted him wasn’t a mysterious vehicle following him?
Big claims need big evidence. It's fun to fantasize about conspiracies but that's not the way the world works. I could just as well claim the moon fell out of the sky and pushed his car off the road. There was that solar eclipse right after he died. Coincidence?
A theory is not a claim. And unlike your stupid moon story, the theory that there was foul play is plausible, given what his father said. You may live in a safe bubble, but others don’t. The harsh reality is there are criminals in the world who do awful things.
The claim was that there was no foul play. I would like to see conclusive proof of that.
Kipchoge is also contributing to misinformation by exaggerating his story. Any time his races go poorly, we have a new excuse.
Look, I get that there is this wacky conspiracy theory, but at the same time, Kipchoge did himself no favors by not offering any positive remarks to Kiptum when he broke the WR. Kipchoge should have been an altruistic ambassador of the sport, and of Kenya.
Again, the conspiracy theory is stupid and the death threats are even more stupid, but Kipchoge could improve the way he behaves, and it is nice to see people acknowledge the success of others.
Kipchoge exaggerates the victim role when he does not do well, and it'd be nice for him to acknowledge a poor race for what it is, just a poor race.

People like you should really stay far away from ever becoming lawyers. The burden of proof is on you to prove that there was. Prove that there isn't an invisible teapot orbiting between Earth and Mars. See how that works?
What? He was mean to do a marketing effort for himself and sponsors? mean for wearing legal equipment. Mean for not using social media? I hope people with your way of thinking never make it as a juror.
It's utterly ridiculous that people can't believe someone was distracted or made some other sort of mistake behind the wheel resulting in a fatal accident, it's not at all an uncommon occurrence but someone famous does it and no it just has to be a conspiracy...
It's really mind boggling how many people just can't accept that life is a complex mess often with no rhyme or reason and invent delusional grand narratives

in this case, it is an opportunity to weed out imposters.
Kipchoge while the GOAT in marathon, is a child here. rich and famous, means you collect fair weather friends, and sit on a pedistal waiting to be knocked off.
2) A theory about what might have happened doesn’t require evidence. That’s why it’s just a theory and not a claim.
3) Someone claimed matter of factly that it was just an accident. Where’s the conclusive evidence to back up that claim?
4) His father’s statement about the sketchy men who came looking for his son suggests my theory is plausible. Not certain, but plausible.
A theory means nothing without facts to support it. There are none. An allegation of murder is the same without evidence. So far the only facts connected with his cause of death are that he was killed in a road accident. The rest is meaningless unsupported conjecture - typical of the rubbish spouted here.
