"Tweaked my ankle on the water jump with 2k to go. Felt really strong before that. Unfortunate situation for sure but I’m confident in my fitness right now.”
I wonder if the BBC is the only national broadcaster who would not mention their sole representative in the race once, despite him being in the top four for most of it?
Man that was pitiful coverage. We saw the first 2 minutes and the last 2 minutes of the steeple. They took a 3 minute ad break and then a 3 minute steeple recap. Jesus man what the hell
So what do we all think we'll see of the 5000? First lap and last lap?

Who says “2k to go” in a 3k race?
“to go” usually implies you are at least in the second half of the race.
(1) Looks like Megan Keith almost perfectly even-split that PB today. (2) The Daniels Equivalent of her 30:37 at The TEN is 14:43, which is what she ran today. 👀
No clue, wish we saw more than 2 minutes of the race. Great debut for Jennings going sub 9:20 could factor in Eugene
I thought it was just me. I was driving out to the office and kind of trying to watch it on my phone but thought it was stuck on an ad. Kept hitting rewind and all I saw was ads or field events. How much of th race did they show on the US broadcast? Although to be fair- what a boring race. a blowout when the winning time is just 9:07?
I hate to say it but Coburn is done as a player on the international scene. She may make a team or two but that's my gut instinct.
This meet seems a dud sadly. Almost all of the athletes who raced last week look pretty tired.
22.50 was the slowest 200m winning time in a Diamond League last year. Daryll Neita (who didn't run in Xiamen) just ran 22.62 but still crushed everyone today.
Only 23.11 for Sha'Carri in 3rd. Not a great trip to China for her.
