Interesting. Not many 1989 348's as that was still a 328 year. Although registered end of 1989 it might be a 1990 model.
Half cage? In the 348 you don't have the room (especially behind the seats) to work with, like you would a 911. You also should never put in any cage that you will still drive on the street and unprotected head can come in contact with.
My final comment a 35 year old "manual" Ferrari can be fun as heck on the track, but any modern sports car will kick its butt and be easier to work on and handle.
I raced a 355 Challenge for over a decade.
I get Jakobs thinking with this machine this isn't particularly getaway fast but it's sneaky on curved European Roads. The winding, hairpin, and elevation changes would have this 348 humming like a song.
Stateside our lethal North-South Hellcat&Scatpacks would bottle roll out onto the ditch.
In my International Business Class in college our professor knew a Ford designer who worked with Ford Europe. He came to class and spoke about the differences in drivers/driving style and market demand for Ford in Europe.
This gentleman had an exclusive continental tire for the Ford Contour in Europe. Yeah remember that dud? In Europe this Ford Contour actually did really well mostly due to it's un American suspension suiting all the turns and that SVT edition was a 6 speed 240hp that was excitement over the bland Jetta. Can you tell I like talking shop?
With the social media these days Jakob should reach out to Tom Selleck aka "Magnum PI" and sell this hot stock
In case you are wondering if getting ready for the Olympics and the new baby is overwhelming Jakob Ingebrigtsen, the answer appears to be no as he's put in paperwork in Norway to ask to upgrade his 1989 Ferrari. He should hear back in 4-6 months.

In the garage he has, among other things, a Ferrari 348 GTB, first registered at the end of 1989, and imported and registered to the current owner, ie Ingebrigtsen, in the summer of 2019. It is currently marked as "deregistered", but that hasn't stopped the sports star from applying to make major changes to the classic car model. In the documents from the Norwegian Public Roads Administration, which Good Evening Norway have gained access to, Ingebrigtsen lists a number of plans for her car, including front lip, spoiler, half cage and bucket chairs.
How is this news? Busting on a dude updating his ride.. Granted working on a 348 or a 355 might include adopting a Ferrari mechanic at some point doesn't mean you need to put a spotlight on the guy.

It is like the Spec Miata will kick the ass of cars with 2-3x the HP on the track.
