don't worry, i've managed to avoid the "real world" and run away from my problems for 49 years. i've been injured, maybe, 3 or 4 times in my life. nothing long term. the older you get, the slower you get. it takes longer to go less distance, but your just as tired. long runs are the best. long, especially on trails and a nap and you have flushed a whole day down the crapper before you know it. on the 7th day if i'm too tired to run, i road bike, which takes, at least, double the amount of time to get the same training benefits. talk about a time burner.
