Nordas ran in the middle of the field for most of the race, never seriously challenged for the lead, and then got predictably swamped in the last 50m by Hocker and Beamish. It's almost like he didn't do his homework on the rest of the field and assumed he could outkick everyone with 1 lap to go no problem.
If he's serious about winning this race he HAS to go to the front with 600 or 500 to go and put pressure on the kickers. In a 3:36 race he's not going to beat Beamish, Hocker, or Kessler. It was either a tactical failure or a fitness deficit. He has better pr's and a better resume than those 3 guys, but he was found lacking today.
