so you think they set up a split with 1600 to go (only 9 meters past the finish line)?
WTF are you talking about??
he ran 1600m or even less or slightly more with a non standing start
clear enough now?what are you trying to get to.
They took a time with 1609 to go and then finish time with the difference being 3:53. I assume Young started running somewhere between 1609 to go and 1600 to go, but I guess someone there would need to confirm. But NAU's last 1609 was 3:53
“Meyo Field is located inside the Loftus Sports Center. A 320-meter Mondo oval will provide athletes an opportunity to race on the nation’s largest NCAA legal indoor track. ● The Pole Vault, Long Jump, and Triple Jump”
Track appears to be 320m- you can see in this the mile starts 9m behind the finish. So Young's 3:52.03 and Markezich's 4:22.31 appear to be flying 1600m splits. Still impressive
"The Loftus Center also features Meyo Field, a 100-yard FieldTurf field with end zones surrounded by a six-lane track one fifth of a mile long – making it as large as any indoor track in the nation."
So was it modified, or is the 320 a round number, or is the "1/5th" a round number?
