People who post "facts" need to provide proof. Perfect example is the "Joe Blow is in the portal" threads. If they don't provide a screenshot, delete the post. It is easy to blur out the private information of the athlete.
How about a high school message board so we all don't have to see 1,000 Newbury Park threads?
We could follow the future because of Newbury Park threads. If you have runners that can't beat Nico, Leo or Lex Young or who would not have succeeded under Sean Brosnan for a month.. just stop.
My wish list: - The weekly podcasts continue. - Some in depth interviews of athletes, national/international running officials, people on the cutting edge of developing training and/or recovery techniques - *working with runners.* - A pinned and regularly-updated thread of Rojo’s path to sub 5 mile (or sub 20 5k or sub 3hr marathon) glory. Maybe with the ocassional live webcast time trials. (Don’t worry, anyone even marginally familiar with running knows that getting back into running may mean a 7, 8, or 9 min mile to start.) Finish it off with an end of 2024 Rojo Invite where we can fly in (to hopefully a warm climate) to cheer or run our own race.
If I were advocating, however, for the crowd that hasn't been traumatized as much yet, I'd beg for more vigilant moderation of right-wing circle jerks regarding Baltimore, Chicago, "blue state warzones"...etc.
We delete a ton of Baltimore/Chicago threads a week. That seems easier than actually leaving one thread up on it.
less moderation and fewer post deletions. it's tiring to type out long replies and then have them deleted for 'no reason given' (because there was no reason for deleting).
While we are making a wish list, it would be nice to know who the team is that is legislating the site and what their role is. It's very strange to have an online business that has no written address, even a P.O. Box for written correspondence. This is important especially if an athlete or poster is defamed and there's no place to send a cease-and-desist order. I can look up Nissin Foods, the producer of my favorite ramen noodles and find out who the executives are and their roles. We're literally floundering on this site for real resolution or real solutions to problems that might arise because we have what is touted as a complete source but with no real answers:
Where is letsrun.com operated?
Where is its business license?
Where do people go if they have a BBB complaint against letsrun.com
Is there a board?
If so, who is on the board?
Most businesses disclose this.
I may be the squeaky wheel but good... I'm a strong wheel and I'll ask for answers for others who would not.
So..we want answers.
We give our phone number and email. There are 5 of us. You can call us directly and leave a message
