Pay attention to how he describes Bare's low T results. I wonder if Bare realized he just outed himself?
Alan
The results showed T level was over 50% lower than the low range. Liver/liver enzyme scores were unpublished. These two objectives statistically show an exogenous substance was withdrawn and this is his body reacting.
If NB says it's because he cut to 1500 cal/day while still running 35mpw/long run&4+days/week lifting fair play and that would be just cause, but then you'd have to explain being almost completely hypoandrogenic and not publishing liver scores(a very sensitive biomarker)
Probably roided out of his mind, but nothing, likely, that's going to help endurance performance.
Are you nuts? Primobolan and some other AAS that I can't name off the top of my head increase RBC count like crazy. Probably almost as good as EPO.
That being said....I think Nick used a bib mule here. No way some dude with a 30 BMI is running that time. All you have to do is look at everyone else who's done it in the entirety of human history. For that matter, look at what the best times are for marathons with a 20lbs pack as a benchmark. Some very fit marathoners (2:15 IIRC) have those records which are about 2:56. So people that are VERY fit, VERY fast marathoners can BARELY break 3 hours with 20 lbs of dead weight added. Now realize that they are still relatively lighter than Nick even with that dead weight. Also 20 lbs of extra body mass is going to be more taxing than 20 lbs of dead weight. Especially because some of it's going to be distributed to his limbs. There's no way in hell.

lol, are you serious? You can't compare a 2:15 midpacker to Nick Bare. Dude is in like 99.9999% percentile in terms of athleticism. He can break 2:10 if running is his whole life and he loses all the excessive muscle.

I think he's definitely on PEDs, but he also did do the race and run that time. He passed me at mile ~22ish as I was slowing down from ~2:37 pace to a 2:40. I didn't know who it was at the time, I just saw some guy wider than anyone else around blowing by me. Tried to hang on but he was speeding up.
I mean it's his full time job to train, I don't think it's insane to run a 2:39 if you have good genetics, dedicate all your time and energy to fitness, and take all the PEDs you could ever dream of.

EXCELLENT point, ben. As we all know, pace for any given level of fitness is directly proportional to weight. So what would his ideal marathon weight be? Let's say BMI of 19, then that would be 140 lbs. 140/210lbs = 2/3. Ok, 156 min*2/3 = 104 min = 1 hour, 44 minutes. All these shill sockpuppet accoutns sticking up for this goofy marketer guy. He's basically claiming to not only have broken the 2 hour barrier, but SHATTERED it. Yeah right!!
