I used to work at a running store. I used to joke about wanting to start a “fitting room club” for some of our regulars. Sounds like your wife is a member of that club.
My wife went to the local running store without telling me (separate issue that’s being addressed). She comes home all excited and takes out 3 pairs of new running shoes. One for trail, one for roads, and one for “grass”. All have carbon plates and super foam. Pair of custom orthotics for each. Total price….$925. The kicker…she runs 15 miles a week.
I’m heading down there tomorrow and am going to get in the guys face. These running stores are scum. Taking advantage of naive people.
Am I the only one who had a completely different scenario in mind based on the thread title?
Listen tough guy. I give my wife a credit card with a $100k limit, but I expect her to have half-a-brain, considering that I am an expert on running and running store scams. So yes, this will be addressed with her tonight.
You have a credit card with a $100k limit, and you are spending more than 5 seconds worrying over $925?
This is the one that stood out to me. If a financial institution is comfortable enough to give him a card with a 100k limit, $925 shouldn't come close to being a problem for him. It's a laughable oversight in a generally poor piece of fiction from the OP.

Wait, are you suggesting that your wife should tell you where and when she goes at all times? She's a free human being, you know? In any case, you and her don't seem to have many problems or important things to worry about if she can spend almost 1 thousand dollars jiust like that... So gtfooh!
You guys are real nasty with your comments about passing this guys wife around at the store. And you wonder why he’s pissed and doesn’t want her going there alone? I think you’re proving his point.
