This! Finally someone with the same opinion as me! (But I'm afraid to tell it publicly because I'm afraid they ban me from running marathons. Agents control road racing all over the world)
Just because tests are taking place doesn’t mean the tests are being conducted properly.
It continues to amaze that none of the enablers ever go down when an athlete gets popped. Why doesn’t the athlete tell all? No coaches, agents, pharmacists, doctors, traffickers, thugs, officials are fined, loose their jobs, go to jail. Why? Because the athlete who gets popped fears for his/her life and their extended family.
Kenya, really the entire African continent, is corrupt. People don’t understand the extent to which the corruption permeates unless they have been there and tried to conduct business.
I'll say this: I've had the extreme displeasure of working with Kenyans for my collegiate program. At this point, I know that if they can find a way to manipulate, cheat or otherwise hustle the system, they always. And I mean always. Do so. Whether we are talking about professors catching them cheating/plagiarizing academic work. Or our international office catching them trying to skirt student visa work limitations. Or me catching them being dishonest about what team resources they've already received (pretending they didn't in order to receive more). I know we cannot trust any of our Kenyan athletes with anything. Even the seeming most genuine "good people" among them. And the moment they learn how effectively they can play the race/victim card in America is the moment they use it when we have to make decisions they don't like. This doesn't even touch on how dishonest they are in the recruiting process.
Let me also say I understand why this is a a fact of life in the developing world. Learning how to game the system is how you survive. I get it. I would do the same thing in their position. Doesn't mean I want to have to put up with that here in the civilized world. Yes, corruption and cheating is everywhere. But in Kenya (and seemingly all of Africa and the developing world in general) it is a way of life.

I hope you have a stand up act because this is hilarious. "Civilised world". Oh my sides!
ADAK concerned at the number of athletes in multiple top training camps that have been trying to evade the new strict testing regimen. The new crackdown began in January and saw 2,000 tests carried out. The results are about to be revealed. Grab your popcorn!

He was talking about the First World as against a Third World country where corruption in its various forms is a virtual norm - but keep clutching your sides. The unending parade of Kenyan dopers is definitely a joke.

U.S. Attorney for the Northern District of California Ismail J. Ramsey announced the charges Thursday during a news conference. The FBI says arrest warrants were served Thursday in California, Texas and Hawaii.

Yep. They'll include bodybuilders and weightlifters and bunch of runners who've never mattered in any way, shape or form.
As for you agreeing with that idiot who uses obsolete terms such as the "third world", allow me to explain some of what the so-called "civilised" Brits did to Kenya as recently as the 1960s, so living memory for some: literal and figurative rape, murder and pillage of the country and people; created a wealth imbalance that blights the country to this day with many of their descendants continuing to profit from the ill-gotten bounty of their colonial progenitors; instituted a cruel and racist regime over natives all over the continent at a scale that hadn't been seen before or since.
But, hey: you are "civilised" and Kenyans are all scheming, corrupt cheaters who game the American collegiate system, right?

Is that rambling deflection supposed to be an argument that Kenya doesn't have major issues of corruption?
I can't wait to see how many body-builders are on the list of dopers. Bodybuilding is clearly a major sport in Kenya.

You are 100% correct about the reasons Kenya (and the rest of the 3rd world) is a corrupt sh!t hole that has highly incentivized dishonest behavior. Doesn’t make it not a corrupt 3rd world sh!t hole that has highly incentivized dishonest behavior with a history of few disincentives…until now.

It's on YouTube so it must be true. Your defence of Kenyan corruption is pretty desperate. It is also a deflection from the topic of the thread which is the corruption in their sport. 50 more athletes being busted. I don't think anyone tops that.

Calling out the rot and corruption of American cities isn't a defence of of Kenyan corruption. But the cheek of someone living in country with cities as run down as Detroit, with the murder rate like Chicago or even the knife crime of London calling themselves the "civilised world". Even the roughest neighbourhoods in Nairobi can't begin to compare body counts from gun violence of American cities.

You’re deflecting again as usual but I’ll bite. The difference between Detroit/Chicago & Nairobi is at least most of those cities are still livable & relatively “safe” - certain neighborhoods account for almost all the crime rates and rot. Which is certainly a tragedy. But the entirety of Nairobi is a blight on humanity. And yes, I’ve spent considerable time in all three. But we were talking about an entire society built on dishonest here right?
This too is interesting and especially considering your direct experience. I wonder why you had to resort to racist language and framing though? I can’t see why the practices of the Kenyans should be counted as incriminating all people from poorer countries. I want to offer two counters

At least 53[3] people have been charged as part of the conspiracy,[4][5] a number of whom pleaded guilty or agreed to plead guilty. Thirty-three parents of college applicants were accused of paying more than $25 million between 2011 and 2018 to William Rick Singer, organizer of the scheme, who used part of the money to fraudulently inflate entrance exam test scores and bribe college officials

Gangelhoff has said that she wrote more than 400 term papers for at least 18 Minnesota basketball players from 1993 to 1998. A subsequent university investigation found that the coach, Clem Haskins, not only broke National Collegiate Athletic Association (NCAA) rules by making cash payments to players, he also told his team to mislead attorneys who were looking into the academic fraud.
It’s fair to say that internal audit departments are challenged by the deep pockets and often unbridled power of big-time college athletic departments. These are highly political environments where the boss is sometimes ambivalent, even turning his back to fraud as long as the team keeps winning. The internal auditors, armed only with complicated NCAA regulations and limited budgets, must still seek ways to implement appropriate checks and balances to help ensure the integrity of their organizations. College sports fraud and corruption is a sticky subject at best. Of about 20 internal auditors contacted for this article, only a handful responded. Those willing to speak on their experiences wouldn’t allow their names to be used, indicating the delicate nature of their positions.
Is it correct to say that with or without corrupt third worlders, college admissions and many athletics programs are riddled with corruption?
So we are on another planet from ADAK being concerned about Kenyan athletes running away from testers. I can see why some would wish to deflect from that.
