9:07 today for Aden Bandukwala in the 3200m, *not* at Arcadia. That's a good mark b/c the way he trains, his coaches have him peak at the end of the season, that's obvious by his state meets result.

Super stacked mile field at Palatine this weekend: Genisio/Viger/Bandukwala/Hilby/Sato/Nalley all in one race, plus Golomb/Gaan/Strayer/McLain have been having outstanding seasons, and Connor Burns's little brother is coming up from Missouri with a 4:15 seed time himself. Could see some very, very fast times, and it's a total tossup as to who's going to win.

What an amazing field. Mad respect to Nalley, Genisio, Mclain they are racing in Eastern Relays in Louisville, Kentucky 3200 Friday Night against a stacked field which includes Ethan Hogan then traveling to Palatine the next day for the Mile. I am assuming this is deliberate by them to somewhat replicate what a State Championship weekend looks like against each other. That or they are just trying to help each other run some really fast times 5-6weeks from state.
Watched online Nalley took it out in 4:23 with Geniso on his right hip in lane 2….they both looked great but the flags were really moving in the second half of the race. Announcer kept talking about a big headwind the entire time. Great showing by Hogan and Mclain as well. What a great year for Illinois distance running fans!!!!
Great 1600 at Pete Struck yesterday - Bandukwala wins the meet for the second year in a row with a 4:11.73. Eddington in second with 4:12.95. Big breakout race for Mohamed Abdullahi of Mather with a 4:13.30 to finish third. 10 guys under 4:20 - 6 of them were from DGN, led by Eddington and joined by Cupial, Surratt, Schroder, Bender, and Travers. Cupial, Surratt, Schroder, and Travers will be returning next year.
New IL #1 alert: 4:06 for Bandukwala at the WSC Conference Meet, beats Eddington’s 4:08. Flips the script from last year when Eddington ran an IL #1 of 4:07 to beat Watcke’s 4:09. Shoutout to Brady Golomb as well for running a 4:12 shortly after winning the 800 in 1:57.
Looking at the State Meet results, I wonder if Barrington will go 1-2 next year at the state XC meet. Mia Sioros and Scout Storms. With Mia only a freshman, she could be the most decorated Barrington runner in that school's history. I believe she is 16, so technically the same age as Scout Storms.
