Who represents him now ?

Now that the women's marathon world record is in Berlin, will the men's marathon world record move to Chicago? Chicago could get the record if they try to run fast in Chicago, but seems like they would rather run more tactical than fast like Berlin.

Is there some sort of spear chucking championship?

As far as we know he is Golazo (Corstjens) and Nike. Seems like he might’ve reneged on a shoe deal with a Chinese company before London.
No WR in Chicago. He should've gone to Berlin instead.
"In a pre-race interview with Olympics.com, Kiptum said he is well-trained for the Chicago course and believes he can become the first man in history to run a 2:00 flat on Sunday. Kiptum’s choice of Chicago over the other fall majors, Berlin and NYC, indicates his eagerness to chase the world record. Chicago’s primarily flat course, with only 70 meters of elevation gain, makes it an ideal setting."
I think sub 2 could be on the card for him.
I ran London last year when he ran 2:01:25.
It wasn't an easy day. Very wet at the start, wet shoes and socks throughout the race, a light headwind in the second half from Canary Wharf all the way to Buckingham Palace. He was in WR shape in London last year if it wasn't for the weather conditions.
What is going to be the pacing in Chicago? Who are the pacers and what pace are they going to run at?
At least a new WR wrote:

That's not a prediction. I "think" means that well I"m saying it's possible. Really? We all know that it's possible, you do know that don't you?
If he runs 2:01:08 or faster it's a world record. If he broke 2, then you'll claim to be right as well.
Rupp is gonna take Kiptum and Mantz to the woodshed, is my prediction
Berlin couldn't afford both and both didn't want a face off. Berlin went with Kipchoge over Kiptum. They will have Kiptum for years to come

We've been through this. These guys need money - this is their living. Kipchoge gobbled up the appearance money at Berlin, Kiptum is making way more money by running Chicago vs. Berlin.
Do you know anything about the pacers? Are there going to be pacers for Kiptum ?

Are you sure Kiptum will run Chicago ?
....
A couple days ago it was reported that his agent said he would run Chicago; however, due to late start in training his goal was simply a new course record not the World Record.
Nice too see you're back Renato Canova!
