my logical brain says Collin, since he has a year under his belt, but my gut kinda says leo (no reason behind it other than he's trained consistently without injury for a while)

Despite hills, course runs fast given low-19/6k women's record & sub-23/8k men's record.
Since women's 5k course is not run much, the 16:23 cr is likely to be broken.
It does run faster than one would think. Tuohy ran with Markezich for 4K, moved out a little with Chmiel to 5K, and then flew the last 1K and still did not appear that tired - nothing like she was at Stillwater.
Top runners on W side seem to be Appleton, Bunnage, Maatoug, Stearns and maybe O'Sullivan (?). Can Covert, Dishon and Baran of CO and Dudek of Stanford stay close to this group?
The miler scrap and Bunnage debut should be fun to watch.
Also, keep an eye on Ohio State's Addie Engel, 2022 Big 10 XC Champ and 10th at Stillwater. If summer base training went well and she rolls in with a bump in fitness, she could challenge Stearns ftw.
UKY-->UWash transfer Tori Herman races alongside O'Sullivan. Herman showed great promise as a frosh (17th at 2021 XC Nats) but stagnated much of last year (56th at Stillwater). Let's hope the transfer puts her on a more positive trajectory.
most of the teams are already there. I wonder if a lot of top teams have good practice runs over the next few days so they can get familiar with the course for nationals (the only reason they're even there) how many runners we see scratch on Saturday

Last year at Cowboy Jamboree, pretty much everyone ran at 100% effort. But sounds like lots of teams will just save it for Nuttycombe
MD already postponed Bull Run on Saturday. Any chance this gets altered? Was planning on driving down just to get out and watch some live XC action. My gut says they'll run it.
How about Princeton? anyone know if they will be there? they have a good team
From host Virginia's meet info document, and the list of entries available through the live results link already posted in post #4 of this thread, looks like their men (with a max team of 10) are scheduled to be there. (Their women's team won't be there.)

Isn't the low spot on the course about 10 m from the finish? Sharp down followed by up.
